How MAGA and “Progressivism” Obscure the Struggle for Socialism

In recent weeks, the Democratic Socialists of America has claimed a handful of electoral “victories.” In New York’s 7th and 13th Districts covering Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, candidates Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier defeated the Democratic Party old guard in the primaries. In Colorado’s 1st District, Melat Kiros unseated 15-term incumbent Democrat Diana DeGette. These candidates have run on common platforms such as Medicare For All, Abolish Ice, Ending War, Housing for All, and Unions for All.

NATO: Who Will Finally Send the Bloodstained Alliance of Imperialism to the Dustbin of History?

As NATO leaders conclude their summit in Ankara, once again proclaiming their commitment to "security," "stability" and the so-called "defense of democracy," the peoples have every reason to reject the mythology surrounding an alliance whose history is inseparable from imperialist aggression, intervention and war. 

Behind the carefully orchestrated communiqués, diplomatic handshakes and declarations of unity stands an organization created not to defend peace, but to defend the strategic interests of the dominant capitalist powers.

KKE's contribution at the International Meeting against NATO in Istanbul

A delegation of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), comprising Yannis Protoulis, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the KKE, and Aris Evangelidis, member of the Central Committee of the KKE, visited Istanbul, where, an International Meeting of Communist Parties from NATO member states was held on Saturday, 4 July. 
 
The meeting was organized by the Communist Party of Turkey ahead of the imperialist alliance’s summit in Ankara.

Turkish communists defy protest ban ahead of NATO Summit, hold demonstrations across Turkey

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) defied a blanket ban on demonstrations imposed across central Ankara ahead of the NATO summit, leading anti-NATO protests in six cities on Saturday despite a heavy police presence and mass detentions. 

Hundreds of TKP members gathered in central Ankara at the time and place previously announced by the party, despite extraordinary security measures that had effectively placed parts of the capital under a de facto state of emergency. As demonstrators marched toward Kızılay Square chanting anti-NATO and anti-imperialist slogans, police intervened and detained more than 100 participants.

Greece: Thousands of young communists pay tribute to the Democratic Army's 80th anniversary

Thousands of young communists from across Greece concluded the 35th Anti-Imperialist Camp of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) on Sunday with a mass political rally in the northern city of Florina, marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE).  The five-day camp, held in the historic Vitsi mountain range from 1 to 5 July, combined political education, historical remembrance, cultural activities and anti-imperialist action, reaffirming the continuity of the communist movement's revolutionary traditions.

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) condemned President Trump’s latest red‑baiting tirade against the social democratic "Democratic Socialists of America" (DSA) primary victories in New York and of the District of Columbia mayoral candidate Janeese Lewis George, calling it a dangerous escalation of anti‑communist hysteria. 
 
“MAGA is going to lose the midterms and Trump’s getting desperate,” co-chair Rossana Cambron said.

Marking the 119th anniversary of Roman Shukhevych's birth, the Ukrainian Army's 3rd Separate Assault Brigade publicly paid tribute to one of the leading figures of the wartime Ukrainian nationalist movement—a man who served in the Nazi-sponsored Nachtigall Battalion, later in Schutzmannschaft Battalion 201, and subsequently became commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA).

International Anti-NATO Summit to be held in Istanbul

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) has designated 4-12 July as Anti-NATO Summit in response to the NATO Summit taking place in Ankara within the same week. As part of the week’s activities, the party will organize marches and public events in several cities across the country, while also hosting an international summit in İstanbul. 

The summit will bring together communist and workers’ parties from NATO member states, along with representatives of the World Peace Council and the World Federation of Democratic Youth. The gathering is intended to express a united and uncompromising opposition to NATO’s latest plans. 

Outrageous! Communist Party of Slovakia punished for its 100th anniversary campaign

A Slovak court has upheld penalties against the Communist Party of Slovakia (KSS) and members of its leadership over a campaign commemorating the party's 100th anniversary, in a ruling that has sparked strong condemnation from communist parties abroad.

The case dates back to 2021, when the KSS marked the centenary of its foundation with a nationwide campaign featuring commemorative posters bearing the hammer and sickle and the slogan "Without socialism, it will not work."
