KKE in EU Parliament denounces U.S threats towards Cuba, submits question to Kaja Kallas

The threats of an imperialist attack against Cuba, along with the demand for the immediate lifting of the country’s economic blockade and its removal from the list of “states sponsoring terrorism,” are highlighted in a parliamentary question submitted to the High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Members of the European Parliament, Kostas Papadakis and Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos.

 

KKE condemns the threats by the US and the state of Israel against Iran

In a statement, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) stresses the following: 

The KKE condemns the threats and war preparations of US imperialism and the state of Israel for a new attack against Iran, as demonstrated by the build-up of massive firepower in the Persian Gulf. Recent developments in Venezuela and Iran reflect an escalation of US imperialist aggression in the wider regions of Latin America–Caribbean and the Persian Gulf, warnings that the KKE issued to the peoples in a timely manner.

KKE: The photographs depicting the last moments of the 200 of Kaisariani reveal the moral greatness of the communists

Eighty-two years after the mass execution of 200 Greek communist fighters by the Nazis at the Athens' Kaisariani Shooting Range, photographs said to depict the victims’ final moments have surfaced for the first time. The images were discovered in an album listed in an online eBay auction by a seller based in Belgium. 

 

According to available information, the album appears to have belonged to a German officer who served in a unit stationed in Malakasa, in the outskirts of Athens, during the Occupation.

KKE in EU Parliament: In the face of new threats from the US, we demand: hands off Cuba!

In a statement regarding the new provocative threats of the U.S administration against Cuba, the MEPs of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) stress out:

"Having become emboldened after its imperialist intervention in Venezuela, the Trump administration is now intensifying its aggression against Cuba, with the ridiculous argument that it is "facing aggressive actions." In this context, the US is considering imposing tariffs and sanctions on countries that supply Cuba with oil and other vital commodities, as well as a "naval blockade" of the Island of Revolution.

KKE: Dimitris Koutsoumbas was re-elected General Secretary of the Party

As announced by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), the proceedings of its 22nd Congress were completed today with the election of the new Central Committee and the new Central Committee for Financial Control.

“The Central Committee, at its first meeting, unanimously elected Dimitris Koutsoumbas as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE,” the announcement states.

With this slogan dominating the indoor Galatsi Olympic Stadium, amid an atmosphere of emotion and militant uplift, and in the presence of a large crowd of members and friends of the KKE and the KNE, the opening “kick-off” of the KKE’s 22nd Congress was given on Wednesday afternoon. 

The keynote address was delivered by the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, who took the podium to prolonged applause.

 

KKE's 22nd Congress kicks off on Thursday: Messages of greetings from Communist Parties

“A powerful KKE, steadfast in every trial, ready to answer history’s call, for socialism!””. With this slogan, the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) opens this week and will be held on 29, 30, and 31 January 2026.

As 902 portal stresses out, "the members and friends of the KKE and the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) welcome the 22nd Congress with a deep sense of responsibility and pride, with militant yet realistic optimism rooted in the justice of our struggle and in the necessity of advancing our Programme—for a society free from exploitation, capitalist barbarism, and imperialist wars."

In the final stretch for the 22nd Congress of the KKE

As announced, the 22^nd Congress of the KKE will be held from 29 to 31 January, 2026, under the theme: “A powerful KKE, steadfast in every trial, ready to answer history’s call, for socialism!”.

From mid-December until today, conferences were held by the Regional Organizations of the KKE, and specifically by the Party Organizations of Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, Western Macedonia, Thessaly, Western Greece, Peloponnese, Epirus - Corfu - Lefkada, Central Greece  - Euboea, Crete, the North and South Aegean, the Organizations abroad, as well as the Party Organization of Attica, the largest Organization of the Party.

KKE warns in the European Parliament: Unacceptable U.S. threats over Greenland; EU and NATO complicit

An intervention in the debate on U.S. threats and the escalating rivalry with the EU centered on Greenland was made by the European Parliament Group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) during the plenary session in Strasbourg. The Party’s MEP, Kostas Papadakis, stated the following in his speech:

“We condemn the unacceptable threats of military intervention by the United States, NATO ally Denmark, and the EU against Greenland, following their military intervention against the people of Venezuela, as well as the threats against the Cuban people and the planned U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran.

 

KKE-KNE: Mass political event in solidarity with the people of Venezuela held in Athens

KKE MEPs denounce anti-Cuba event in the European Parliament: Letter to Roberta Metsola

A protest letter to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, was sent by the European Parliament Group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) regarding the holding of an event organized by the far-right ECR (European Conservatives and Reformists) entitled “Cuban Mercenaries in the Russian Attack on Ukraine.”

KKE's Party Organization in Germany honoured Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht

On Saturday 10 January, the KKE’s Party Organization in Germany held an event and discussion in Berlin on the topic: “Lessons from the class struggle in Germany, 1918–1923”.

On Sunday 11 January, the annual march in memory and honour of Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg, leading figures of the German revolutionary movement and founders of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD), took place in Berlin. 

The KKE condemns the U.S provocative threats of a new imperialist military attack on Iran

“The KKE condemns the provocative threats issued by the United States for a new imperialist military attack on Iran, jointly with the state of Israel, within the framework of the broader imperialist antagonisms, aiming to shape political developments in that country as well, in accordance with their own geopolitical interests. Communist Party of Poland condemns reactionary and ahistorical court decision ratifying its ban

The anti-communist decision to ban the Communist Party of Poland (KPP), which had been adopted by Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal on 3 December, was ratified by the Warsaw Court at its session on 15 December.
