Imperialist criminal Ronald Reagan returns to Berlin — this time as a statue

The archimperialist called Ronald Reagan, an idol of the world's neoliberals and anti-communists during the 1980s, returns to Berlin — this time not as the leader of American imperialism, but as a 7-foot tall bronze statue placed atop of the U.S. Embassy.

As the Associated Press reportsthe larger-than-life statue is being installed atop the embassy’s terrace, at eye-level with the landmark Brandenburg Gate in downtown Berlin. The statue will be unveiled during an official ceremony on Saturday 9 November, with the guest of honor being the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

Russia: Communists paid tribute to the 102nd anniversary of the October Revolution

The 102nd anniversary of the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution was honoured by thousands of communists across Russia, during events organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and the Russian Communist Workers' Party of Russia - CP of the Soviet Union (RCWP-CPSU). 

In Moscow, the CPRF organized a gathering and a rally where the major speaker was the President of the Party's Central Committee Gennady Zyuganov

What is going on in Kazakhstan? Persecution of workers and trade unionists continues...

On October 17, Yerzhan Yelshibaev, the leader of the unemployed movement of Zhanaozen and the Mangystau region, in Kazakhstan, was sentenced to five years in a fabricated case and arrested in March of this year in a fabricated case about an attack on a passerby, which happened several years ago. 
During the trial, the victim and witnesses did not recognize him as an attacker and refused claims, however, the judge decided to send the famous public figure to jail.

Spain Elections: Vote for PCTE, the strongest communist candidacy! (+Video)

On the occasion of November 10 general elections in Spain, the Communist Party of the Workers of Spain (PCTE) issued an informational statement regarding its electoral campaign. 

PCTE is the strongest communist candidacy in these elections, given the fact that no other list with the hammer and sickle will participate in more constituencies. The Party's electoral program has been published in various idioms, including Castellano and Catalan.

The Communist Party of the Workers of Spain (PCTE) is running for the elections on November 10 under the slogan “Choose what is necessary. For a country for the working class”. In  this  context  of  the  failure  of  social-democracy,  the  participation  of  our  Party  in  the new elections will be greater than in the previous call of April.

Anti-Imperialist Solidarity Conference: "People are rising up against savage capitalism"

A Solidarity Meeting for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, that took place in Havana over the weekend, with over 1,200 participants condemned the US economic, financial and trade blockade against Cuba and specially the harsh hostility of the Trump administration.

Leaders of left-wing organizations, progressive movements, labor unions, youth and students federations, intellectuals and academics from 90 nations attended the huge gathering.

Brussels: Event against EU anti-communism to be organized by KNE on November 9-11

With a three-day event, which will take place in Brussels from 9 to 11 November, the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) gives a powerful response to the European Union's anti-communist resolutions and fiestas. 

According to Rizospastis, the program includes visits in a Nazi concentration camp, walks in places of historical significance in Brussels, as well as an event in the European Parliament.

Iraqi Communist Party calls for the resignation of the government and early elections

Following the recent mass demonstrations in Iraq and their violent suppression by the government's security forces, the Central Committee of the Iraqi Communist Party issued a statement asking for the resignation of the government and the call for snap elections.

KKE: Question on the violent suppression of the mass popular demonstrations in Chile

The violent suppression against the mass – militant popular demonstrations and strikes in Chile by the Pinera government, “EU partner”, which have caused the death of 18 demonstrators, was condemned by the European Parliament Group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) with a Question by the MEP of the Party, Lefteris Nikolaou–Alavanos towards the European Commission.

In his question, the MEP of the KKE stated the following:

More than a third of U.S. millennials approve of communism-socialism

The decades-long filthy anti-communist propaganda by the imperialist mechanisms in the United States doesn't seem to be very successful. Despite the tones of anti-communist lies and history's falsification, which was strengthened after the counterrevolutionary events in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, young Americans "don't buy the fairytale" anymore.

On the occasion of the 28th October 1940 (OXI day) anniversary in Greece, which marks the rejection the Greek people of Benito Mussolini's ultimatum and the beginning of the Greco-Italian War, the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued a statement, originally published on 902 portal

In statement the CC of the Communist Party of Ukraine (KPU) appeals for broad support and solidarity towards the staff of the Party's newspaper “Rabochaya Gazeta” (“Workers’ Newspaper”) the circulation of which has been banned after a decision Kyiv District Court.

Appeal of the 21st International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties

APPEAL of the 21st IMCWP
20 October 2019, Izmir.
The 21st International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties has taken place once again in Turkey after four years, this time in Izmir, under the mutual responsibility of the KKE and the TKP. The 137 participants representing 74 parties from 58 countries, express their comradely gratitude to both parties for undertaking this responsibility. 
This year is the 100 th anniversary of the founding of the Comintern. We witnessed numerous situations that prove to us again and again the importance of solidarity and joint struggles of communist parties and the importance of the union of the revolutionary efforts for the overcoming of capitalism as a destructive world system with no future.

Communists honoured the 75th anniversary of Belgrade's liberation from the Nazis

On October 20, the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NCP) marked the 75th anniversary of Belgrade’s liberation from the Nazi German occupation at the end of WWII.
The 75th anniversary of the “Belgrade Offensive” was commemorated by a Party ceremony, including laying wreaths at the Memorial Cemetery of Belgrade Liberators.
The tribute to the fallen heroes, members of the National Liberation Army and the Red Army was paid by the General Secretary of NKPJ with members of CC of NKPJ.

Lebanese Communist Party: Supports popular uprising, calls for general strike

The Lebanese Communist Party (LCP) stands by the side of the masses who have demonstrated in Beirut and throughout the country during the last few days and calls for an escalation in the confrontation with Saad Hariri's government. 

The LCP called the recent protests as "a national uprising throughout the country from the north to the south, passing through the mountains, Beirut and the Bekaa, bypassing sectarian divisions and sectarian affiliations and upholding its rights and demands".

Pyongyang to host the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties in 2020

Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), will be the hosting place of the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) in 2020. The hosting party will be the Worker's Party of Korea. 

The above was unanimously agreed in the last session of the 21st IMCWP which took place in Izmir, Turkey from 18 to 20 October, being co-hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE).

Chile Protests: The Communist Party condemns Piñera government's repression

In a press conference held in Santiago on October 19th, the leadership of the Communist Party of Chile (Partido Comunista de Chile) condemned the policy of repression exercised by the right-wing government of Sebastián Piñera during the last days of uprising in the country's capital. 

The Communist Party's President, Guillermo Teillier said: "Applying the Internal State Security Law causes outrage to protesters. Politics are militarized and democracy is locked", adding that "if President Piñera is unable to govern, he must step aside and call for new elections".

21st International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties: The opening speeches by Dimitris Koutsoumbas and Kemal Okuyan

The 21st International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) kicked off today, Friday 18 October, in Izmir, with the participation of 75 Parties from 61 countries. 

The hosting Parties are the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). The meeting takes place between 18 and 20 of October.

EU Parliament: KKE's Papadakis slams Ukraine's FM over persecutions on communists

The ban on the Communist Party of Ukraine and its newspaper was denounced by the MEP of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Kostas Papadakis in a discussion with Vadym Prystaiko, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, at the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET). The KKE MEP specifically stated the following:

"On July 16, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine imposed a ban on the CP of Ukraine. On August 19, the Kyiv District Court banned the circulation of the "Rabochaya Gazeta" (Workers' Newspaper) of the CP Ukraine. It also stripped the Party of the right to participate in elections. The above demonstrates the hypocritical slogans of "freedom", "human rights" and "civil liberties".

Brussels: Militant demonstration against EU Parliament's anti-communist resolution

With a militant protest organized by the Communist Party of Belgium in Brussels, members and friends of communist parties, workers and immigrants raised their voice against the EU Parliament's despicable anti-communist resolution which distorts history by equating communism with fascism. 

The demonstration was attended by the organizations of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and KNE in Belgium, as well as by the KKE group in the European Parliament.

More than 70 Communist Parties to participate in the 21st International Meeting in Izmir

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) Kemal Okuyan and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas will deliver speeches in the opening event of the 21st International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) which will take place in Izmir between 18 and 20 October. 

According to 902 portal, Dimitris Koutsoumbas will be the head of a large delegation of the KKE, including Giorgos Marinos, member of the Poltical Bureau and MP, Elisseos Vagenas, member of the Central Committee and responsible of the Party's International Relations Section, the Party's MEP Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos and Aris Evangelidis, member of the International Relations Section of the KKE.

"We will never forget you": Greek communists paid tribute to the exiled heroes of Gyaros

"We never forget you. Glory and honor to the heroes of Gyaros". This was the major slogan of an extroardinary event that took place on Saturday 12 October in Gyaros, an unpopulated small Greek island in the Aegean Sea. 

The event, which was organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), included speeches as well as the unveiling of a monument, dedicated to the thousands of communists and leftist political dissidents who were exiled or imprisoned in Gyaros from 1948 until 1974.
