ARTICLE BY THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS SECTION OF THE CC OF THE KKE
Response to the slanderous attack by the Russian CWP and the CP of the Russian Federation, which misrepresents the positions of the KKE
The KKE emerged stronger from its 22nd Congress, which was prepared through a lengthy and substantive pre-congress process centred on the Theses of the Central Committee. These were approved by an overwhelming majority of Party members, a fact that highlights the ideological and political unity of the KKE.
Subject: Response to the slanderous attack of the “Appeal”
Dear comrades,
On 11 June 2025, SolidNet received an “Appeal” from Parties attempting yet another slanderous attack, initiated by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP), regarding an article by the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE entitled “On the International Anti-Fascist Forum in Moscow”.
On the International Anti-Fascist Forum in Moscow
On 23 April 2025, the International Anti-Fascist Forum (IAF), organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), with the support, as it stated, of the Russian government and Presidency, took place in Moscow.

“We demand the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine. We demand an end to military action”, legislative assembly member Leonid Vasyukevich said during Friday’s session. Vasyukevich, a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), said continuing Russia’s three-month campaign in Ukraine “would lead to an imminent increase in military deaths and injuries.”
“A struggle for markets and for freedom to loot foreign countries, a striving to suppress the revolutionary movement of the proletariat and democracy in the individual countries, a desire to deceive, disunite, and slaughter the proletarians of all countries by setting the wage slaves of one nation against those of another so as to benefit the bourgeoisie; these are the only real content and significance of the war. ” - V.I. Lenin, The Tasks of Revolutionary Social-Democracy in the European War, Collected Works, Vol 26, pp 1
All the above, underscored by the leader of the October Revolution more than one century ago, are absolutely true as regards the war in Ukraine. Many articles to date have highlighted aspects of the fight over markets, raw materials, and commodity transport routes.
The 9thof May is approaching and the Russian bourgeoisie once again utilizes the red flag to take advantage of the anti-fascist and pro-Soviet sentiments of the Russian people. In areas occupied by the Russian army in Ukraine, the red flag of Victory is raised, i.e. the flag of the unit of the Red Army that occupied the Reichstag in May 1945. The CP of the Russian Federation (CPRF) went one step further. It introduced a bill to replace the current tricolour of Russia, the flag of the tsars and the traitor Vlasov, a Nazi collaborator in the Second World War, with the red flag.

The reason for the demonstration was the decision of the Moscow authorities, according to which mandatory vaccination quotas are prescribed in the healthcare, transport and other sectors and if these are not met, companies can fire their non-vaccinated employees.
According to the CPRF this as an unconstitutional requirement at the expense of the workers.
Holding red banners and portraits of the Soviet leader, the participants laid flowers to the tomb of Stalin in the Kremlin Necropolis. At the end of the ceremony, a statement to the reporters was delivered by the Chairman of the CC of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) Gennady Zyuganov.
Wearing red masks due to the pandemic, workers, members and supporters of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) marched through Red Square in order to pay tribute to the most significant event of modern history.
"There has been nothing more magnificent than the Great October", said CPRF chairman Gennady Zyuganov during his address, praising the achievements of the 1917 Revolution.
