Analysis of the insurrectionary process in Bolivia: Seigniorial paradox, power bloc, and the potency of the masses

In April of 2026, the government of Rodrigo Paz Pereira —inaugurated on November 8, 2025— promulgated Law 1720, which sought to dismantle the constitutional protection of small peasant property in order to favor extractivist large landholdings (latifundio). That law was the spark of an insurrectionary process that, since then, has triggered the deployment of road blockades, an indigenous march from Pando to La Paz, a massive cabildo (popular assembly) in El Alto that shattered any pretense of dialogue with the Executive, and a women's hunger strike picket.

In a statement undersigned by General Secretary James Corcoran, the Communist Party of Ireland stresses out the following:

"The recent knife attack in Belfast has shocked communities across Ireland. Our thoughts are with the victim and their family, and those responsible must face the full consequences of the law. However, what followed has been deeply disturbing. 

Organised loyalist elements and far-right agitators have sought to exploit this incident to spread fear and division. Homes have been attacked, businesses targeted, vehicles burned, and migrant families subjected to intimidation and violence. 

Communist Party of Britain condemns racist violence in Belfast, calls for working class unity

In a statement, the Communist Party of Britain (CPB) condemns the violent - racist oriented - incidents that broke out in Belfast following a knife attack in the city and call for working class unity:

"The Communist Party condemns the horrific knife attack perpetrated on the streets of Belfast on Monday night. We salute the bravery of witnesses who intervened to save the victim of the knife attack. Our thoughts are with their family and witnesses.

KNE's 35th anti-imperialist camp to honor 80 years since the founding of the Democratic Army of Greece

The Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) will hold its 35th Anti-Imperialist Camp from July 1 to 5 in Vitsi, northern Greece, under the slogan: “80 years since the founding of the Democratic Army of Greece. With the KKE in the forefront and the people as protagonists, history is written. We continue until victory!”.  

 

The camp will take place in the historic area of Pissoderi, near Florina, where the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE) maintained a strong presence during the years of the armed struggle (1946-1949).

 

“The Only Superpower Is the Peoples”: International anti-war rally held in Crete

A strong anti-imperialist message was sent from Crete over the weekend as peace movements from Greece and the Middle East mobilized against the US-NATO military presence at Souda Bay, one of the alliance's most strategic bases in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The mobilization took place under the auspices of the World Peace Council (WPC) and was hosted by the Greek Committee for International Detente and Peace (EEDYE) in the framework of the Middle East Peace Movements Conference.

The discovery of a Ukrainian naval drone carrying hundreds of kilograms of explosives off the coast of the Greek island of Lefkada has sparked political controversy in Greece and renewed concerns over the country's growing involvement in the NATO-backed imperialist war in Ukraine.

According to revelations published by Rizospastis, Organ of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), the drone had reportedly been assigned to strike a Russian Navy vessel escorting a commercial ship linked to Russia's so-called "shadow fleet." 

Polish state fails to outlaw Communist Party, faces international condemnation

The anti-communist campaign waged by the Polish state against the Communist Party of Poland (KPP) has suffered a significant setback following the party's return to the official register of political parties.

The development comes after months of attempts by the Polish authorities to eliminate the KPP from legal political life. Last December, the Constitutional Tribunal ruled that the party's activities were allegedly incompatible with the country's constitution, providing the legal pretext for its removal from the register.

Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) calls for mass rally in Ankara ahead of NATO Summit in July

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) has called for a major anti-NATO rally in Ankara ahead of the NATO summit scheduled to take place in the Turkish capital in July.

According to TKP’s announcement, the rally will be held on 5 July under the slogan: “NATO means death and dishonor; long live peace, independence and socialism!” The party called on the people to gather before the summit and deliver a strong warning to the imperialists.

Cuba is not a threat; it is a victim of U.S. terrorism

Yolanda and Fermín Rodríguez Díaz were 11 and 13 years old, respectively, when they were murdered on January 24, 1963, at the La Candelaria farm in Bolondrón by the gang of Juan José Catalá Coste, which operated in the southern part of Matanzas. 

 

Similarly, on March 13, 1962, in San Nicolás de Bari, then in Havana, the young Andrés Rojas Acosta was hanged with the same rope he was using to tie up his pig, a crime committed by the gang of the mercenary Waldemar Hernández.

 

Roman Roun elected new leader of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia

The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) has elected Roman Roun as its new chairman during the party's 12th Congress, held on 30-31 May, held amid growing anti-communist attacks and political pressure in the Czech Republic.

Roun succeeds Kateřina Konečná, who had led the party since 2021. The leadership transition comes after a difficult period for the Czech communists, marked by disappointing electoral results and the party's continued struggle to regain parliamentary representation.

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) participated in the 2nd Congress of Fronte Comunista (Communist Front), held in Italy on 22–23 May, which took place in a militant and optimistic atmosphere centered on the struggle to build a revolutionary party, strengthen class struggle and advance the cause of socialism.

Delegates from across Italy reviewed the party's experience in political and organizational work, discussing efforts to strengthen communist organization in a country where the communist movement continues to face the heavy consequences of opportunism and Eurocommunism.

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) has launched a sharp attack against the newly announced political party of former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, denouncing it as an attempt to recycle bankrupt social-democratic illusions and construct a new pillar for the stabilization of the bourgeois political system in Greece.

KKE condemns arrest of CPI(M) General Secretary and Party leaders: "Hands Off Indian Communists"

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) has demanded the immediate release of the General Secretary and other leaders and members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), condemning the repression unleashed by the Indian authorities against communist militants and protesters.

In a statement issued by the International Relations Section of the KKE Central Committee, the party denounced the arrests and police violence targeting cadres of the CPI(M), stressing that such measures are aimed at intimidating the workers’ and popular movement in India and suppressing political struggle against anti-people policies.

Soviet flag sparks anti-communist frenzy in Czech Republic!

An act of political defiance at the Brno city council in the Czech Republic has once again exposed the rabid anti-communism of the Czech ruling class and the broader reactionary campaign underway across Europe to criminalize the communist movement.  

On May 19, during a council session, a woman raised a Soviet flag in protest against the gathering of the Sudeten German association in the city — an organization tied to the legacy of German revanchism and the post-war dispute over the Sudetenland.
