With the votes of governmental majority (SYRIZA-ANEL) the Greek Parliament approved on early Monday the monstrous law on social security and tax system. The legislation- combined of 166 articles- passed with the 153 votes of SYRIZA and ANEL (Independent Greeks), while 143 MPs voted against. A total of 296 legislators participated in the roll call vote held Sunday night; four were absent.
The "law-guillotine" sparked fierce reactions from labor and trade unions. The All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) organised a massive rally in Syntagma Square where thousands of working people expressed their condemnation for the governmental policy.
In their speeches, the KKE MPs denounced the barbaric measures of Tsipras' government. Refering to the SYRIZA-ANEL government, the General Secretary of KKE Dimitris Koutsoumbas said among other things:
"Once more you prove that you are very good students of the previous governments, "capable" successors of the most reactive (situation) this country has lived through the neoliberal management of New Democracy, as well as the most rotten and corrupt PASOK's Social Democracy offered".
"Your attitude exceeds the limits of political wretchedness" D.Koutsoumbas said.
The KKE Secretary added: "But don't think that everything ends here. We are still in the beginning. The Greek people will not tolerate, will not 'legalize' in their conciousness, this anti-people package of measures. People will show their real power. And it is then when you- and those who along with you voted the 3rd memorandum- will have no place to hide".
"(Through this law) you satisfy the Capital's constant demand to end the social character of peoples' insurance" Secretary Koutsoumbas fired against the government.
In his speech, KKE MP Thanasis Pafilis unleashed an attack against Tsipras' coalition government by saying: "You will be remembered in History as the 'slaughterers' of peoples' rights". The Communist Party MP pointed out that the anti-people character of the governmental policy can be also proved by the fact that it is supported by industrialists, shipowners and European political powers which since 1990s have promoted anti-worker, anti-people "reforms".

The bourgeois opposition parties.
New Democracy's leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis attacked the government in an effort to convince Greece's bourgeoisie that his party is more capable than SYRIZA in pleasing Capital's demands. Tsipras and Mitsotakis exchanged accusations in a competition of "who's the better manager of Capital's interests".
Both the leaders of PASOK (Fofi Gennimata) and 'To Potami' (Stavros Theodorakis) accussed the SYRIZA-ANEL government for following a "wrong route", while they both supported the idea of private insurance.
From it's side, the Neo-Nazi party of 'Golden Dawn' contented to 'costless' anti-memorandum pseudo-rhetoric combined with anti-communist slogans.
