KKE on French election: Popular discontent for Macron — Mélenchon and Le Pen are capital's reserves

“The actual, pro-people way out, in France, in Greece and in every country, is the intensification of the struggle against capitalist barbarism and its- every time- governmental administrator”, underlines a comment by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) on the results of the French legislative elections.

More specifically, the statement (here in Greek) issued by the Press Office of the CC of the KKE reads:

“The French elections' result, with abstention being a special feature, highlights not only the growing popular discontent towards Macron government, but also the fact that the way out for the French people does not lie in the reserves of capital, neither in the disgusting far-right of Le Pen nor in the restoration of the sinful social democracy of Mélenchon.

It is once again confirmed that the notion of the “lesser evil”, which became the flag of successive anti-popular governments in France, not only did not block the way to the far right but, on the contrary, it strengthened it even further.

The actual, pro-people way out, in France, in Greece and in every country is the intensification of the struggle against capitalist barbarism and its- every time- governmental administrator. Only through this way the reactionary forces can be defeated, the anti-people choices can be obstructed, the political correlations can change and with the a powerful communist movement to put an end to this impasse”.
