Conference of the European Communist Action: The struggle of the working class and its movement is the real catalyst of developments

The European Communist Action (ECA) conference took place on Sunday 16 March in Paris, on the theme: "Conclusions and perspectives for the labour movement in Europe".

The conference, organised two years after the major workers' mobilisations in France, which shook the country and the whole of Europe, aims to exchange the views and experiences of the CPs of ECA the  on the workers' movement in Europe.

International Working Women’s Day 2025: Statement by the European Communist Action

March 8 was proclaimed as International Working Women's Day by the Second International Conference of Communist Women held in Moscow in June 1921.

Working-class women live in a world of exploitation and inequality, expropriated labour, low wages and precarious and socially devalued work. They face, poverty, discrimination, harassment, problems in accessing healthcare, and are forced to confront the harsh consequences of repeated attacks on social security protections and the absence of free proper childcare facilities.

On Sunday 16 February the European Communist Action (ECA) held a teleconference under the theme "On the three years of imperialist war in Ukraine. The struggle of the communists against the EU, its war economy and the involvement of the bourgeois governments in imperialist wars".  

 

In his introductory speech, Giorgos Marinos, member of the Politburo of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), stressed the following:

The European Communist Action convened in Istanbul on January 19, 2025, hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP).

European Communist Action marks one year of activity

On Sunday 2 December 2024, the Plenary meeting of the European Communist Action (ECA) took place in Brussels and, on the basis of the introduction speech by the secretariat, discussed the report on the first year of the ECA's activity and the action plan for the first half of 2025.

On 7 November 1917 in Petrograd, the revolution triumphed. The Second Congress of Soviets proclaimed the socialist nature of the revolution, and adopted the Decree on Land and the Decree on Peace.

The importance of the Great October Revolution in the history of humanity is immense. It marked a radical shift from the old capitalist world to the new socialist world.

On Sunday 20 October, the European Communist Action held a teleconference on "The Communists of Europe against the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum". The introductory speech was given by the New Communist Party of the Netherlands. On behalf of the KKE, the speech was given by Katerina Geraki, head of the Inter-sectional Committee of the CC of the KKE on the rights of migrants and refugees.

European Communist Action: Statement in solidarity with the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon

The European Communist Action (ECA) Parties participating in the Teleconference "On the Work of the ECA Parties Within the Youth" held on September 28th condemn the criminal attacks carried out by the murderous State of Israel in Palestine and Lebanon.

Today we commemorate 79 years of the Day of the Great Anti-fascist Victory of the Peoples on the 9th of May 1945. We remember and express our gratitude to the heroic Red Army, the Soviet people and the resistance movements who fought and sacrificed themselves against fascism, against the most barbaric form of capitalism. Against the organized operation by the monopolies, by the bourgeois class to attack the power of the working class and the communists.

For the workers’ and communist parties, the 1st of May represents a day of struggle, in remembrance of those who came before us and in honor of those who will continue the struggle.

The working people, not only in the countries of Europe, but in the entire world, have in the past years stood face to face with the inhumanity and brutality of the capitalist system, which has put the entire burden of the increasing prices on the shoulders of the working people. By simultaneously keeping wages down, the situation for the workers and other exploited strata has worsened in every country.
