While committing genocide in Gaza, the far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu is simultaneously waging another war. This time within Israel, against the "internal enemy" who condemns and exposes the vile, genocidal acts against the Palestinian people.
These “enemies from within”, who have not stopped denouncing Netanyahu's leadership since the beginning of the war, have been fighting for years in extremely difficult conditions, in favor of peace and against the occupation.
The main military activity and focus of Israel and the world shifted from Gaza to Iran on June 12. Gaza has gone from being a primary theater to a secondary one.
While Israel continues to destroy and kill in Gaza systematically, Israelis are even less interested in it. The war in Iran shifted global and domestic priorities, but the destruction of Gaza, the genocide unfolding there, and the bleeding Palestinian issue remain the heart of the darkness.

The statements are as follows:
Solidarity with the Palestinian People
At the 39th Congress of the Communist Party of Sweden, the following statement in solidarity with the Palestinian people was adopted:
The Tudeh Party of Iran and the Communist Party of Israel strongly condemn the continuous Israeli aggression in the region, and its latest attack on Iran which is in direct violation of international law. We demand an immediate halt to all military action resulting in significant civilian casualties on both sides.
In a demonstration held in Haifa on May 31, Odeh sharply criticized the far-right Israeli government, claiming the country has become isolated internationally. “Israel has become a pariah state among the nations of the world, including in the West,” Odeh stated.
Mr President,
These days we are witnessing a new escalation in the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza by the Israeli state, which has so far caused over 61,000 casualties, of whom more than 28,000 are women and girls.

On Thursday 22 May, in light of the dramatic developments experienced by the Palestinian people due to the brutality of the Israeli state, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, the GS of the CC and President of the KKE Parliamentary Group, sent a letter to the leaders of the opposition parliamentary groups (excluding the fascists of the ‘Spartans’ party). Despite the different positions held by political parties, the letter was sent based on the unanimous decision of the Greek Parliament in 2015 to recognize the Palestinian state.
The letter proposes the creation of a joint draft text that will be addressed to the Greek government urging it to take - also in its capacity as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council - relevant initiatives on the following issues:
— Amid the annihilation war in Gaza, have there been changes in the Palestinian political arena?
Joint Statement of Communist and Workers’ Parties
The Communist and Workers’ Parties condemn the new crime against the Palestinian people, which is being carried out before the eyes of the whole world and has been brought about by the intensification of the barbaric military aggression and the criminal Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Koutsoumbas was commenting on the Greek prime minister's meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, in Israel on Sunday.
In November, Cassif was suspended from the Knesset for six months over comments he made about the Israeli army war in Gaza. Under the terms of his suspension, Cassif is not allowed to enter the Knesset plenum or committee meetings except to vote.
In a communique they warned of their dangers and disastrous repercussions on the conflict arena, the countries of the region and the world, and which affirmed their adherence to the just and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the embodiment of the Palestinian state on the ground with East Jerusalem as its capital, in implementation of the principle of the two-state solution.
The parties participating in the meeting organized under the title “Developments in the Middle East We strengthen our solidarity with the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon and Syria” exchanged ideas on the developments in the Middle East.
The Lancet, the world’s leading medical journal, published the results of a study by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) claiming that the figures published by the Hamas Ministry of Health on the deaths in Gaza are biased downwards.
The real number of Palestinian deaths and missing in Gaza, according to the London statisticians, is not 46,000 but closer to 70,000, almost 3% of the population, of whom about 59% are elderly, children and women.
We welcome the exchange agreement and ceasefire, despite the deadly stalling that characterizes the right-wing government in Israel.
From day one, we called for an agreement that would bring everyone home—prisoners, abductees, detainees and hostages, Israelis and Palestinians alike. Such an agreement was possible and could have saved the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinians and hundreds of Israelis.
