“If urgent financial and economic measures are not taken, by autumn we will face a repeat of what happened in 1917, We don't have the right to repeat that” (!!!). Zyuganov stated, raising the specter of revolutionary upheaval.
Mr Zyuganov presents the prospect of 1917 as a danger to be avoided, not a historical rupture to be continued. His criticism targets government management, while explicitly shielding the core of power.
This line confirms the role of the CPRF as a completely harmless opposition within the system: it acknowledges economic problems and social pressure, but confines them within the limits of the existing system. After all, the party has also consistently backed the government’s line on the imperialist war in Ukraine, further underscoring its alignment with state policy.
The warning is therefore clear—not against the causes of crisis, but against the possibility that it could lead to a real, uncontrolled revolutionary outcome.
