50 years since the death of Spain's fascist tyrant Franco

The 20th November 2025 marked half a century since the death of Spain's fascist dictator Francisco Franco. 

 

Fifty years since the end of a regime built on blood, terror and class domination. Fifty years since the man responsible for crushing the Spanish Republic was lowered into the ground, yet his legacy, and the system he served, refuse to die on their own. History teaches us that fascism does not dissolve with the death of a dictator. It must be defeated, again and again, by the living struggle of the working class.

 

The Communist Party of Venezuela on U.S imperialist aggression and the national crisis

In a statement (read here in Spanish), the 17th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) held in Caracas on 15-16 November, stresses out the following:

Ofer Cassif recounts "fascist takeover" of Israel during speech at the Communist Party of Britain Congress

Hadash deputy Ofer Cassif testified to “the takeover of fascism in Israel” in a fraternal address to the Communist Party of Britain’s 58th Congress at the weekend. 

The Communist Party of Israel leading member, who has been suspended from Israel’s parliament for 10 months of the last two years because of his public denunciations of the Gaza genocide, described how Jewish settlers “in a chilling imitation of other Nazis” set fire to a mosque last week in the occupied West Bank.

KKE blasts Greek government's gas deals with Euro-Atlantic puppet Zelensky

In a statement (here in Greek) concerning the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Greece and his meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Sunday 16 November, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) stresses out: 

"The American dealers of the outrageously expensive LNG had barely left Greece when the buyer arrived — none other than the head of the reactionary and corrupt regime of Ukraine who, together with the USA–NATO–EU, has dragged his own people into the bloodbath with Russia that has lasted almost four years.

KKE - SKP: Communists of Greece and Sweden coordinate struggle as capitalist offensive escalates

In a warm and deeply comradely atmosphere, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), Dimitris Koutsoumbas, held a meeting on Friday afternoon with a delegation of the Communist Party of Sweden (SKP) at the party’s offices in Skarpnäck, Stockholm. The Swedish delegation was headed by the leader of SKP, Andreas Sörensen.

From the side of the KKE, the meeting was attended by Zisis Lymberidis, member of the Central Committee and head of the Party’s Foreign Committee; Kostas Papadakis, member of the Central Committee and Member of the European Parliament; Panos Apergis, Secretary of the KKE’s Scandinavia Regional Organisation; and Vasilis Lazaridis, Secretary of the Stockholm Local Organisation.

Communist Party of Greece condemns scenarios of US imperialist intervention in Venezuela and expresses internationalist solidarity with the Venezuelan people

In a statement on the threats of US imperialist intervention in Venezuela, the Press Office of the Central Committee of the KKE reports the following:

“The statements by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who announced the launch of a military operation in the Caribbean called Southern Spear, as well as the arrival of the largest US aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, in the region, constitute a sharp escalation of imperialist aggression against Venezuela and other peoples in the region. The fight against drug trafficking is yet another flimsy pretext.

KKE hosts internationalist event in Athens for the 108th anniversary of the October Revolution

An internationalist event dedicated to the 108th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution will take place in Athens on 22–23 November, organised by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) under the theme: “Timely messages of the October Revolution in our contemporary struggle for socialism under conditions of imperialist war.”

Approximately 25 Communist and Workers’ Parties from around the world will participate in the gathering. 

 

KKE condemns the persecution of members of the Russian Communist Party (Internationalists)

In a statement published today, Thursday 13 November, the International Relations Section of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns police brutality against members of the Russian Communist Party (Internationalists), which emerged from a split in the RCWP. 

In its appeal on the occasion of the Great October Socialist Revolution, the party emphasized, among other things:

In a comprehensive interview with ERTNews television on Monday, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas declared that the Party “stands strong, ready for everything — ready to answer the call of history for socialism.” 

Koutsoumbas portrayed the current situation in Greece as one of intensified class confrontation. He stressed that the government’s policies continue to burden workers, small farmers, and the popular strata, perpetuating inequalities under new forms of austerity.

President Trump, your unhistorical anti-communist crusade will fail — Socialism will triumph!

On 7 November 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump proclaimed the week of 2–8 November as “Anti-Communism Week”, inviting the American people to “honor the victims of communism” and to remember the “devastation caused by one of history’s most destructive ideologies.”

But this proclamation is not a moral gesture — it is an ideological weapon. It revives the same Cold War rhetoric that once justified imperialist wars, fascist coups, and the persecution of workers, intellectuals, and freedom-fighters across the world. Behind Trump’s pompous words stands the oldest lie of the capitalist order: that communism, not capitalism, is the source of human suffering.
