Comment of the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE 

The Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska was used to cultivate complacency and false hopes that a compromise between the imperialist powers could lead to the elimination of the causes of war and "real peace" for the peoples, which would put an end to the bloodshed in Ukraine. "There is a Holocaust in Gaza! Resist Netanyahu fascist government!": Israeli communist MP Ofer Cassif sends powerful message

In a video posted on social media, Ofer Cassif, a Knesset member for the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality (Hadash) and Communist Party of Israel cadre, sends a powerful message against the genocide that is being waged against the people of Gaza by the Netanyahu Government. 

"There is no war in Gaza. There is a Holocaust in Gaza. Israel is facilitating a holocaust in Gaza", says Cassif and calls for a peaceful, yet unyielding resistance against the genocidal Netanyahu regime. 

KKE leader reaffirms solidarity with the Palestinian people, calls government to cut ties with Israel

"It is unacceptable for the Greek government to support the genocide and starvation of the Palestinian people by supporting a war criminal along with its allies. It must stop now, immediately, and cease all cooperation with this murderous state. A free Palestinian state within the 1967 borders must be recognized, based on the unanimous decision of the Greek Parliament in 2015", Dimitris Koutsoumbas, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), stated during a rally held on Sunday 25 August in Athens.

The funeral of the so-called “21st century socialism” in Bolivia

The results of Sunday's elections in Bolivia were devastating for the leftist “Movement of Socialism” (Movimiento al Socialismo), known by the acronym MAS. Eduardo del Castillo, MAS’s candidate, received only approximately 3 percent of the vote—a historic collapse for a party that had ruled Bolivia for nearly two decades. 

This result highlighted deep-seated economic crisis—20–25 percent inflation, fuel and dollar shortages, public frustration—and internal divisions within MAS (notably between Morales-aligned “Evista” and Arce-aligned “Arcista” factions).

KKE: The imperialist bargaining on Ukraine does not portend anything positive for the peoples

"They have become communist": The 1993 Yeltsin-Supreme Soviet standoff and the dirty role of the US

Following the victory of the counterrevolution and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Russian leadership under Boris Yeltsin proceeded to harsh economic reforms (known as “shock therapy”), thus causing, among others, inflation, unemployment, and severe public discontent. 

Within this context, a growing conflict between Yeltsin and the Supreme Soviet (Parliament) over economic policy and division of powers began to unravel. The Supreme Soviet resisted capitalist reforms and pushed back against the increasing presidential authority.

 

Nagorno-Karabakh: Azerbaijan demolishes 25 Soviet-era monuments

In Khankendi (known as Stepanakert), the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, 25 monuments and busts erected in memory of prominent Soviet figures and soldiers of Armenian origin have reportedly been completely dismantled.

The Artsakh Culture and Tourism Development Agency announced on its Facebook account that 25 monuments and busts erected in Khankendi, located in Nagorno-Karabakh (known as Artsakh by Armenians), for heroes of the Great Patriotic War and other prominent figures have been demolished.
