PAME: The SYRIZA government washes its hands in the blood of the children of Palestine

On the occasion of the new strikes of the Israeli military forces against Gaza, the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) issued the following statement, strongly condemning the new bombings and accusing the SYRIZA government for being an accomplice in the crime:

PAME condemns the new, murderous raids of Israel against the Palestinian People.

The murderer-State of Israel went on a new escalation of its aggressiveness against Gaza and held dozens of raids the last days, which resulted in dozens killed.

KKE: Statement for the 2019 Workers' May Day

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued a statement regarding the International Workers' Day - May 1st, which was published in the Party's official gazette "Rizospastis". 

Below you can read a translated version of the statement:

"We honor the Workers' Day, the dead workers in Chicago in 1886, the tobacco workers of Thessaloniki in 1936, the 200 executed communists of Kesariani on May 1st, 1944, all the unbending of the class struggle, all those who sacrificed themselves for a society without exploitation of man by man. This is  the only really progressive future of society. 

"NATO must be destroyed" - Statement by the European Communist Initiative

NATO was established seventy years ago, in 1949, in order to block the ideological and political influence of socialism and the Soviet Union, which had greatly increased after the Second World War, as well as its military power. As of its establishment, NATO became one of the headquarters of anti-communism and an imperialist alliance aimed to stop the rise of the working class. Their war policies of relentless military harassment threatened with direct military attacks, including nuclear ones, against the countries that were building socialism, which was answered in May 1955 with the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Warsaw.

KKE: The 70th anniversary of NATO is a "black anniversary" for the people around the world

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the imperialist alliance of NATO, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued a statement, calling it a "black anniversary for the people in all over the world". More specifically the KKE points out:

"The 70th anniversary of NATO's foundation is a black anniversary for the people in all over the world, but also an opportunity to look back at the bloodstained history of the imperialist organization which continues in our times.

20 years later Greek Communists did not forget NATO's imperialist crime against Yugoslavia

In a fully-packed ceremony hall, at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, hundreds of members and supporters of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) attended the Party's political event in commemoration of the 20 years since the bombardment of Yugoslavia by NATO imperialists. 

The event began with a 15 minute video depicting moments from the 1999 anti-imperialist, anti-war mass mobilizations in Thessaloniki and elsewhere in Greece, in which the communists had a leading role.

Don't Forget Yugoslavia: 20 years since NATO's crime in the Balkans

It was March 24, 1999, twenty years ago, when the imperialists of USA-NATO-EU were launching the last mass slaughter of the 20th century against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. 

NATO's war in Yugoslavia was the peak of the country's fragmentation, a process which was steadily orchestrated after the counterrevolutionary overthrows in the Soviet Union and eastern Europe in the beginning of 90s. The dominance of capitalist relations of production in Yugoslavia after many decades, marked the kick off of its dissolution. That was a great opportunity for the vulptures of capitalism, US and European monopolies, to extend their businesses in new markets and feed on the remains of the former Federal Yugoslavia.

20 YEARS SINCE NATO CRIME IN YUGOSLAVIA: Belgrade to host international conference on March 22-24

On the occasion of the tragic 20th anniversary since the imperialist attack of NATO, US and the EU against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the Belgrade Forum for the World of Equals and the World Peace Council (WPC) organize an international conference in Belgrade, on March 22-24. 

The conference, which is a commemoration "against forgetting the 1999 NATO aggression", is expected to be attended representatives from peace and anti-imperialist organizations from around 40 countries. 

Anti-NATO mass mobilizations to take place in Washington DC on March 30-31

The World Peace Council (WPC), in collaboration with the U.S. Peace Council, organizes mobilizations against the murderous imperialist alliance of NATO on March 30th and 31st, 2019. 

The mobilizations include protests and demonstrations throughout the city, in front of the White House, concerts, as well as an Anti-NATO Conference on Sunday 31st March. 

KKE: We must not allow Thessaloniki port to become a base for US-NATO imperialists

“We must not allow the Thessaloniki port to become another base of death by the US-NATO imperialists” is the major slogan of a statement issued by the Central Macedonia Party Organisation of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), on the occasion of the recent visit of the US ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt in the city. 

The US diplomat had visited the port (Greece's second largest) in order to inspect the departure of the 4^th US Airborne Brigade.

Koutsoumbas: The KKE's strengthening in all electoral and daily struggles is needed

A call to join the electoral and daily struggles of the KKE was delivered by the Communist Party of Greece's General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas during his speech at a political event held in Ioannina. 

The General Secretary pointed out that the major aim of the Party in the upcoming electoral battles (local elections, EU Parliament's elections and General Elections) is to deliver a united response to the attack unleashed by the EU, the capital, the governments and their parties, underlining that this can be achieved through the strengthening of the KKE everywhere, in every municipality, region and nationwide. 

Four years of SYRIZA government: A really valuable lesson for Greece's working class

The 25^th of January marked the completion of four years since the electoral victory of SYRIZA (Coalition of the Radical Left) back in 2015. Today, four years later, we can draw valuable conclusions regarding the actual role of SYRIZA in Greece's political developments. Most importantly, the Greek working class can draw conclusions which can be proved helpful in the upcoming battles of class struggle.

KKE MEP: "EU and NATO ignited nationalism in the Balkans, destroyed Yugoslavia"

"Who ignited nationalisms, about which you supposedly worry about today in Bosnia and elsewhere, in order to dissolve Yugoslavia with bombardments? NATO and the European Union" said Sotiris Zarianopoulos, MEP of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) during a discussion at the EU Parliament's plenary regarding Bosnia. 

The Communist MEP intervened in the discussion and attacked the imperialist policy of the EU. He said: "Bosnia is one of the latest abeyances in the mission of Western Balkans' euroatlantic integration in the midst of sharp, dangerous competitions between US, NATO, EU with Russia and China".

"North Macedonia" accession to NATO is a crime against the country's own people

"The signature of all of you has no ink but blood, which is going to chase you and you will pay dearly in your whole political life" said Thanasis Pafilis, the Communist Party of Greece's parliamentary representative during the discussion in the Greek Parliament's Committee of Foreign Affairs and Defense, regarding the protocol of FYROM's (now renamed as "North Macedonia") accession to NATO. 

Pafilis stressed that the protocol consists the essence of the Tsipras-Zaev Agreement which, as he pointed out, took place in order to accelerate the neighboring country's accesion to the imperialist alliance. During his speech, the KKE MP read an extract from a U.S. State Department report saying that Greece has taken a leading role in the process of Western Balkans' integration in the EU and NATO. "Congratulations, mission accomplished" said Pafilis referring to the deputies of SYRIZA. 

KKE: "The people of Turkey and Greece have nothing to divide, must fight against NATO"

On  the occasion of the meeting between Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued a statement. The following is an unofficial translation of the statement: 

"Since the Tsipras-Erdogan meeting, like previous relevant meetings, consists part of the broader imperialist plans and competitions in the region, where the bourgeois classes of both countries participate, there can be no positive developments for the people.

GUE/NGL opportunists propose Tsipras and Zaev for... Nobel Peace Prize

In a previous post, we refered to the congratulations delivered to Prime Ministers of Greece and "North Macedonia", Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev respectively, by the leadership of the "European United Left-Nordic Green Left" (GUE/NGL) party alliance in the European Parliament, over the ratification of the NATO-inspired Prespes Agreement. 

It must be noted that the GUE/NGL, alongside the Europarliament's Social Democrats and Greens, have also proposed Tsipras and Zaev as potential candidates for the... Nobel Peace Prize. On this occasion, we publish the statement of the delegation of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in the EU Parliament which points out the following (from inter.kke.gr):

KKE MEP Papadakis voices solidarity with Venezuelan people against US-led coup

"Only the people of Venezuela have the responsibility to defend their interests and to elect their country's leadership" said Kostas Papadakis, EU Parliament's member from the Communist Party of Greece, during the discussion about the "situation in Venezuela". 

Papadakis denounced "the crude intervention of the USA, EU, NATO and governments of Latin America in Venezuela's internal affairs and their attempt to impose, through a coup d'etat, a puppet-president". The KKE MEP condemned the threats of the imperialists about a possible military intervention, as well as the stance of european governments. 

PAME: We support Venezuelan people’s struggle to live in their country without exploitation and interventions (EN, ES)

The All Workers Militant Front (PAME), member of the World Federation of Trade Unions, condemns the USA-EU and their allies’ intervention in the internal affairs of Venezuela.

The operation of imposing a new «banana republic» in Venezuela is a terrible repetition of the bloody coups made with the support of the USA in Greece, Chile, Argentina, Brazil etc. To promote their imperialist plans, US-NATO-EU, support openly coup d’état, proceed to military threats and other measures against the Venezuelan people.

Europe's GUE/NGL "socialists" praise NATO expansion in the Balkans

Greece's Parliament ratified on Friday evening the Prespes Agreement between the governments of Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev, with 153 votes for and 146 against. 

The agreement paves the way for the integration of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (now called "North Macedonia") in the imperialist alliances of NATO and the EU.
