Greece: The "Black Bible of Employers during the Pandemic" presented by PAME

In a press conference held on Thursday 2 April in Athens, the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) presented numerous cases of anti-worker policies and tactics implemented by big businesses during the last weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic in Greece.

Nikos Papageorgiou, member of the PAME Secretariat, pointed out that there is “an unprecedented attack by the big employers who are utilizing all the measures taken by the government”, adding that “with most businesses closed, the government has issued Decree Laws including provisions that abolish labour rights, cut in half the already miserable wages, empower employers with the right to pay us whenever they want, to employ us whenever, wherever and however they want.”

Cuba triumphs where capitalism has failed

By Nikos Mottas.

Speaking to medical students in Havana, on 19 August 1960, communist revolutionary, guerrilla fighter and doctor Ernesto Che Guevara was pointing out:
"The work that today is entrusted to the Ministry of Health and similar organizations is to provide public health services for the greatest possible number of persons, institute a program of preventive medicine, and orient the public to the performance of hygienic practices [...] Some day, therefore, medicine will have to convert itself into a science that serves to prevent disease and orients the public toward carrying out its medical duties [....] The doctor, the medical worker, must go to the core of his new work, which is the man within the mass, the man within the collectivity" [1].

CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC REVEALS THE REAL FACE OF CAPITALISM

As of this writing, there are 140,214 Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases worldwide while the number of deaths mount to 5,123. China remains at the top of the countries with the most confirmed cases and casualties, while the epidemic situation seems to be particularly intense in Italy, Iran, South Korea and Spain.

The outbreak of Coronavirus has sparked huge uncertainty in global markets, while financial analysts are already predicting a new international economic recession. Last week, the OECD lowered its forecast for 2020 GDP growth from 2,9% to 2,4%, while the IMF warned that the disease’s spread has already pushed global growth in 2020 to below last year’s levels. The rapid outbreak of Coronavirus in Europe has pushed the eurozone’s wobbly economy toward recession, boosting fears about a severe slowdown in EU’s economic growth.

Capitalism in Britain: Homelessness increased by 165% since 2010

The images are disturbing and show the tragic reality of the rotten capitalist system.

The statistics about homelessness in the United Kingdom reveal capitalism's barbarity.

According to a report by The Independent, thousands of people sleep rough every night in the cold streets of London and other large cities. Both the two bourgeois parties which have governed the country all these decades, the Conservatives and the Labour Party, bear huge responsibility for this situation.

Regarding the massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) issued, on March 16th, the following statement:
Yesterday there had been a brutal massacre killing 49 people in New Zealand.  It became clear by his messages that, the assailant had been in a sick hatred and he been preparing for the attack beforehand.
This increasing racism, anti-immigrant hatred and as witnessed in the last incident, a fascist delusion all around the world, is the reflection of capitalism's deadlock.

66% of Russians regret the Soviet Union's dissolution - Capitalism has utterly failed

Twenty-seven years since the victory of the counterrevolution in the dissolution of the Soviet Union, seems that the capitalist "heaven" in Russia has been proved nothing more than an illusion.

Where is the supposed "paradise" of free-market capitalism that the counterrevolutionaries of Gorbachev and Yeltsin- alongside their imperialist allies- were promising to the people of Russia? Apparently it was a blatant lie.

Despicable anticommunism: MEPs urge Amazon to drop Soviet-themed goods!

A spectre is haunting the imperialist European Union. It's the Soviet Union and the socialist revolutions of the 20th century which paved the way for the abolition of the exploitation of man by man.

The servants of the capitalist system tremble at the idea of a socialist revolution and make everything in order to "exorcise" such a perspective. They even tremble at the sight of t-shirts that bear the initials CCCP and the sickle and hammer!

U.S. Midterm Elections: The working class trapped between capitalism's dead ends

The “next day” of the November 6th Midterm Elections in the United States finds the working masses of the country trapped between the continuous, sharpening intra-bourgeois confrontation between the two major parties (Republicans and Democrats).

Once again, the election process proved that the capital is in the driver's seat while the workers and the popular strata remain disempowered and marginalized.

Any change in the correlation of forces between the Democrats and the Republicans in the Senate or the House of Representatives does not change the essense of the situation for the American people.
