Workers Party of Ireland: On the presence of the US President in Ireland. No to Biden! No to NATO!

In a statement, the Central Executive Committee of the Workers Party of Ireland refers to US President Joe Biden's visit to Ireland:   

This week the US President, Biden, is in Ireland, supposedly to mark the 25th anniversary of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement. This is a pretext. He will spend very little time in Northern Ireland where he has one brief engagement.

Thanasis Pafilis (KKE): "Today the people in Türkiye and Greece need a strong Communist Party"

A delegation of the KKE took part in the mass event organized by the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP) on Sunday 9/3 in Ankara ahead of the national and presidential elections that will be held in Turkey on 14 May. The outbreak of the imperialist war in Ukraine has sharpened the contradictions within the international communist movement around serious ideological-political issues that have been plaguing it for years and express the opportunist influence in its ranks. Naturally, the focus was on the stance towards the imperialist character of the war that is being waged between the USA-NATO-EU and capitalist Russia on the territory of Ukraine, the stance towards the bourgeoisie and its political representatives such as social democracy, the problematic analyses of the imperialist system and the position of China and Russia, and other issues, more deeply connected with the question of the erroneous strategy of stages towards socialism, of support for and participation in bourgeois governments.

Recently, the website of the Russian Communist Workers' Party (RCWP) published an interview with Haz Al-Din, a U.S citizen of Arab origin, who alongside with others have created an “online collective” known as “Infrared”. This person considers himself to be a “Marxist-Leninist” and, as the RCWP website informs us in the introduction, he “infiltrates” the U.S Republican Party. Apparently, this is something interesting for the RCWP which decided to present his views in Russia.

After the Social Democrats did the “dirty work” of throwing the country into NATO and building a 300 km long wall against Russia, they failed to come on top in the elections. U.S-Britain to nominate Zelensky as next NATO's Chief

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is going to be nominated for the position of NATO's General Secretary, succeeding Jens Stoltenberg who is set to step down later this year.

According to the State Department's spokesperson Ned Price, President Joe Biden and British Premier Rishi Sunak have both agreed to support Zelensky's nomination in the North Atlantic Council Summit that is due to take place in Brussels in September 2023. The initiative is also endorsed by French President Emmanuel Macron, while the governments of Germany, Italy and Canada are expected to respond positively.

Austrian Communists slam Zelensky's appearance at Vienna Parliament

The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) sharply criticises the propaganda appearance of the Ukrainian president Zelensky in the Vienna parliament. 

 

The representative of a war party as well as of a reactionary, repressive regime is out of place in the democratic heart of a neutral country. What is needed is a policy of neutrality and peace instead of NATO war propaganda. 

Communist Party of Mexico: The death of migrants in Ciudad Juárez is a "state crime"

"The Biden-Obrador anti-immigrant policy is responsible for the death of migrants" points out the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM), concerning the tragic death of at least 40 migrants at the National Institute of Migration Station in Ciudad Juárez, close to the U.S-Mexican border.  

 

In addition to those who died, 28 people were hospitalised after being injured.

Gorbachev ignored data about U.S agents in the Soviet leadership, ex-spy says

Mikhail Gorbachev, the Soviet Union's last President who led the last phase of the counterrevolution, ignored disturbing intelligence reports about the activity of U.S agents in the leadership of the USSR in the late 1980s. Such an accusation was made by former illegal KGB officer, retired Colonel of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Andrei Bezrukov.

According to RIA Novosti, Bezrukov, who is currently a Professor at the prestigious Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), made this revelation during a speech at the “Digital History” science festival.

Remembering the Khatyn Massacre in Belarus

80 years passed since the massacre at the Byelorussian village of Khatyn, perpetrated by the Nazis and their Ukrainian fascist collaborators. 149 people, including 75 children, were brutally murdered. 

 

The heinous crime was committed by the Schutzmannschaft Battalion 118, composed primarily of Ukrainian fascists, assisted by the Dirlewanger Waffen-SS special battalion. 

20 years since the War in Iraq — An imperialist crime

The 20th March 2023 marked the twentieth anniversary since the imperialist invasion of the U.S, Britain and their allies in Iraq.

Back then, the so-called “Iraqi Freedom” operation, initiated by the U.S government under George W. Bush, was an advanced sequel of the first imperialist war in Iraq in 1990-91, within the framework of the Gulf War. The aim was the same: The strengthening of the position of the U.S monopolies in the geostrategically significant region of the Middle East.

Koutsoumbas s'est rendu à Paris pour exprimer la solidarité des communistes grecs à la lutte des travailleurs français qui manifestent contre la réforme des retraites du gouvernement Macron.

Le Secrétaire Général du CC du Parti Communiste de Grèce (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas sera à Paris demain, jeudi 23 mars, où il rencontrera des immigrés grecs et participera aux grandes mobilisations grévistes des syndicats français contre les mesures des Assurances et retraites promu par le gouvernement français.

Selon le portail 902.gr, la délégation du KKE comprend également les membres du Comité central du KKE et les candidats députés Christina Panagiotakopoulou et Giorgos Perros.

PAME: Long Live the Struggle of the Workers of France

KKE: Hands Off the Communists of Poland — Protest at the Embassy of Poland in Athens

On 17/03/23, a delegation of the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE, led by the Party’s MEP Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos, made a demarche to the Polish Embassy in Athens, protesting against the escalation of the criminalization of communist ideology and action by the Polish government through the vehicle of the recent revision of the Criminal Code, which is due to be activated in the coming months.
