Greece: The first pre-election video of the KKE ahead of the parliamentary elections of 21 May
“The only worthy vote for the people and the young generation is the
vote for the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), which expresses the consistency of words and works;
which will not lead to disappointment; which the people and the youth
will find by their side in every struggle; which exerts pressure for a
sigh of relief; which sheds a light and paves the way for the real way
out”, stresses KNE, presenting its first pre-election video ahead of the
elections that will be held on 21 May.

International meeting of Communist Parties kicked off in Athens (Video & Photos)
In a fully packed congress hall at the headquarters of the Communist Party of Greece in Athens, the 20th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties began its works earlier today. The meeting is attended by 91 parties from 73 countries.
An introductory speech was delivered by by the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoumbas.
The 20th IMCWP began with a short video showing significant moments from the 100 year-old activity of the KKE and the working class movement in Greece. After the video, members of the Greek Communist Youth (KNE) holding red flags and shouting slogans ("A century of struggle and sacrifice, the KKE in the vanguard") entered the hall.

Amnesty International's video on human rights features neo-Nazis toppling Lenin's statue! [EXCLUSIVE]
Gaffe or deliberate propaganda? This is the question that came to our mind when we watched Amnesty International's new video on "human rights". Under the title "The Thrill of Victory", the French department of Amnesty International issued a promotional video in support of human rights across the world.
The video begins with an Asian woman released from a prison and then several scenes of joy, sadness and hope succeed each other. On the 53rd second of the video, there is the infamous scene of ukrainian neo-Nazis demolishing Vladimir Lenin's statue in Kharkiv!!

Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi thanks WFTU for the support and solidarity
In a video-message, the 17-year old Palestinian activist and anti-occupation resistance fighter Ahed Tamimi expresses her gratitude to the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) for the support and solidarity towards her and her family.
"I thank the WFTU for the support and solidarity that showed towards me and to continue this way of supporting the Palestinian cause and solidarity to all political prisoners. We are waiting you to the internationalist congress that will take place in Ramallah" says Ahed Tamimi in her message.

Dmitri Shostakovich, a child of the October Revolution
It was the 9th of August 1975 - 43 years ago- when one of the 20th century's giants of music died. He was Dmitri Shostakovich, the great Soviet composer and pianist who left his indelible mark on Russian and international culture.
Born in Saint Petersburg in 1906, Shostakovich was a child of the Great October Socialist Revolution of 1917 from which he was deeply inspired. Throughout his life, he set his talent in the service of the people who were building the socialist society. For that he received numerous awards and decorations, both in the Soviet Union and abroad.
