Israeli Apartheid: Communist and Left-wing forces condemn racist "nation-state" law

Israel’s Parliament, the Knesset, approved the controversial nationality bill Thursday declaring Israel a nation-state for the Jewish people and downgrading the status of Arabic from official language to “special status.” It must be noted that Arabs make up 21% of Israel’s population. 

The basic law, approved with 62 votes in favor and 55 against, recognizes the Jewish people in Israel “have an exclusive right to national self-determination." It also includes the declaration of a “united Jerusalem” as the capital of Israel, despite the fact that East Jerusalem is internationally recognized as being under Israeli occupation.

Solidarity to Amazon striking workers in Madrid- Statements by KKE and PAME

"Solidarity to the striking workers of "Amazon" in Madrid! Hands off the communists!" writes a statement issued by the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece regarding the recent assault of police forces against strikers in "Amazon's" warehouse in Madrid. 

More specifically "the KKE condemns police violence, repression and arrests against striking workers of Amazon company in its warehouse in Madrid (San Fernando de Henares dictrict). The police forces unprovoked and savagely attacked the workers who were guarding their strike which ends on July 18th fighting for decent labor conditions and increases in their wages."

Canada out of NATO!: Canada's Communist Party slams Trudeau's pro-NATO stance

Statement by the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Canada (CPC):

The Communist Party of Canada condemns Prime Minister Trudeau’s announcement at the NATO summit this past week that Canada will lead a new NATO mission in Iraq and expand its military role in Latvia. 

Canada must immediately withdraw from NATO, cut military spending and bring Canadian troops home.

KKE: Internationalist solidarity with India's communists - Stop the murderous attacks!

In a statement issued today, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece strongly condemns the murderous attacks against communists in India and expresses its internationalist solidarity towards them. 

More specifically the statement writes: "The KKE condemns with the most decisive way the murderous attacks against communist men and women, supporters and friends of the Communist Parties, as well as the vandalisms and occupations of the Parties' offices in the states of Tripura and West Bengal where the local governments are affiliated with the governmental BJP party and allied forces, like the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal."

Goodbye Tsar: 100 years since the end of the bloodstained Romanov dynasty

The Great October Socialist Revolution — the most significant world-shaking event of the 20th Century — prevailed on November 1917 thus giving a death blow to the barbaric Tsarist regime and beginning the construction of the new, socialist society. 

Around eight months later, on 17th July 1918, in the city of Yekaterinburg, the remaining members of the Romanov dynasty, the Tsar and his family, were executed by the armed hand of the Bolshevik revolution. Justice had been delivered and the Romanovs received what they actually deserved after centuries of tyranny against the Russian people.

Communist Party of Venezuela: “Workers' struggle for a revolutionary answer to the crisis”

The Politburo of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) congratulated the successful convening of the 9th National Assembly of the Workers and Class Struggle Unionist Movement, organized by the National Front of Working Class Struggle (FNLCT) this past July 7th.

The Assembly adopted a program to bring about a revolutionary solution to the crisis currently facing the Venezuelan people, and approved a plan of struggle that promotes the largest and broadest mobilization of workers in alliance with the people’s and campesino movements.

The 44th KNE-Odigitis festival to be held on 20-22 September in Athens

Celebrating 50 years since its foundation and under the slogan "It has been a long road so far. A difficult road!... A certain road…100 years of KKE – 50 years of the KNE Festival…now this road is yours to follow", the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) organizes the 44th KNE-Odigitis festival. 

Like every year, events will be organized by KNE in many cities and towns across Greece, ending with a three-day large festival in Athens on 20-22 September 2018. Following a tradition of the last 7 years, the KNE-Odigitis festival will take place at "Antonis Tritsis Park" in the district of Ilion in Athens. 

KKE and PAME firmly oppose the extradition of Turgut Kaya to Turkey

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) has expressed its firm opposition to the Supreme Court 6^th Section's decision regarding the extradition of journalist Turgut Kaya to Turkey. 

According to 902 portal, on Wednesday 11th of July, the member of the Party's Central Committee and MEP Kostas Papadakis met with representatives of the Solidarity Committee for Turgut Kaya, in order to be informed about the condition of his health (Kaya has been on hunger strike for more than 40 days).

Washington's dirty war against Nicaragua - The role of NED and USAID

Masked individuals, armed with homemade mortars and bazookas, block avenues, close the main streets, attack state institutions, burn tires, start fires, loot and kill.

To date, approximately 170 people have died as a result of the chaos and violence in Nicaragua. A powerful media campaign follows the events and more than that, openly promotes, falsifies, and multiples them. 

The violent acts are presented as peaceful demonstrations by students, and the press publishes photos of those supposedly killed by the Sandinista government, but just as the truth will come out, the deception is discovered. 

Palestinian People's Party condemns Die Linke MP for visiting Israeli settlement

The Palestinian People's Party has issued a statement denouncing the visit of the parliamentary leader of the German party "Die Linke" in Israeli settlement near Gaza. 

More specifically, the statement strongly condemns the visit of the leader of the German Left Party (Die Linke), Dietmar Bartsch, in one of the settlements near the Gaza Strip, where he planted trees and expressed his solidarity. 

KKE: Tsipras' speech at NATO Summit insults and provokes the Greek people

"The SYRIZA-ANEL government emerges as the most consistent pro-NATO power. The speech of Tsipras at the Summit was an "hymn" to NATO, which insults and provokes the Greek people" writes a statement of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece regarding the recent NATO summit in Brussels. 

The KKE statement points out that "the NATO Summit, with the agreement of the SYRIZA-ANEL government, concluded in very dangerous decisions and plans of war preparation, part of which is the acceleration of new countries' integration in the murderous alliance". 

Czech Republic: In a highly controversial decision, the Communist Party agreed to support Babis' government

A highly controversial decision has been taken by the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM) which signed a power-sharing agreement with the bourgeois government of Prime Minister Andrej Babis. 

The 15 MPs belonging to the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM) provided the votes needed to allow a pact formed between Babis’ neoliberal "Action of Dissatisfied Citizens" (ANO) movement and the Social Democrats (CSSD) to survive its first test, ending nearly nine months of political stalemate that saw the Czech Republic governed by temporary administrations. 

Millions for Ronaldo, crumbs for workers: Fiat's Agnelli shows what Capitalism means

Andrea Agnelli is the chairman of the Turin-based famous italian football club Juventus. He is also a heir of the also famous industrialist Agnelli family, owners of the Fiat automobile manufacturer. 

Recently, Juventus reached a $120 million deal with Real Madrid over the transfer of the Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. More specifically, the 33 year-old player and Juventus signed a 4-year contract worth almost $630,000 a week. 

However, when Agnelli spends such amounts of money for a football player, the workers at Fiat haven't seen any increase in their salaries during the last 10 years. On the contrary, thousands of Fiat workers have sustained cuts in their wages, while dismissals consists a common policy of the company in times of financial difficulties.

European Communist Initiative: Statement against NATO's Summit in Brussels

On the 11th and 12th of July a Summit of NATO Heads of State and Governments will be held in Brussels, Belgium, with a dangerous agenda at the expense of the peoples.

Previous summits of this type have been used to introduce new reactionary policies and invite new members in NATO. In the recent years, NATO has put forward decisions for the creation of multi-tentacled military formations around Russia, new rapid imperialist intervention corps, a deeper cooperation with the EU apart from the intensifying rivalries between the USA and the EU, for the allocation of 2% of the GDP of the state-members for military expenditures. 

Socialism and Health: Family medicine in Cuba, an achievement of the Revolution

Cuba’s goal to provide medical care to its entire population was the premise that sustained the basic health program established at the community level during the early years of the Revolution. 

As a result of the continued commitment to this policy, in 2017, a total of 83,534,085 consultations were offered in the 10,851 family doctor’s offices throughout the country.

Although the Cuban National Public Health System was created in 1968, to implement a set of measures to deal with infectious and contagious diseases, malnutrition, parasitism, anemia, and others, the family medicine model emerged in 1984, as part of the necessary transformations in a society facing new challenges.

From 1 July 2018 Austria will take its turn in the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union for six months. This applies in particular to the meetings of the General Affairs Council (the European and/or foreign ministers) and the meetings of the other specialist ministers of the EU member states, for which Gernot Blümel or his government colleagues responsible will act as hosts. 

"No to nuclear weapons!": Greek Communist Youth demonstrated at Araxos Air Base

With a banner writing "No nuclear weapons in Araxos, we will not become accomplices to murder", hundreds of young men and women, participants at the 27th Anti-imperialist camp of KNE, demonstrated on Saturday outside the military air base at Araxos, close to Patras.

Shouting slogans such as "EU and NATO, a syndicate of war" and "Neither soil nor water to the murderers of the people", the members and friends of the Communist Youth (KNE) protested against the policy of the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition government which has transformed Greece into a military base for NATO-USA-EU. The young protesters expressed their firm opposition to the plans of nuclear weapons' installation at Araxos Air Base.

In its session held on June 16 and 17, the Central Committee of the PCU unanimously approved the following Political Resolution.

1. Uruguay, and the transforming process of our country in which we are fighting, lives today one of the most complex moments of the last 15 years. This is because of the structural and organic crisis of the capitalism, that in its development, in addition to the serious social and human, implies a serious danger to peace and to life itself.

Yes to PEACE, No to NATO: Demonstration against NATO Summit in Brussels on 6-7 July

The World Peace Council (WPC) appeals to all organizations and activists in Europe that defend the cause of Peace, to promote actions against NATO and its summit in Brussels (6-7 July 2018), for the dissolution of this political-military block and in favour of the struggle of each people within each NATO member state for withdrawal from this military organization.

We recognize that NATO has now existed for almost 70 years, and that during this entire period NATO has continued to increase its membership, in expanding its sphere of influence, its aggression and its demands on the people.

We recognize that NATO has continued to exist, without any interruption in its role, through many changes of governments in all its member states, including the US.

We recognize that it is important to concentrate on raising public pressure and attention to NATO and its imperialist nature, instead of concentrating on a particular leader.

The 27th Anti-imperialist camp of KNE to take place in Patras on 6-8 July

Under the slogan "Come with us in the struggle against the system which creates poverty, wars, refugees", hundreds of young people are going to participate in the 27th Anti-imperialist camp, organized by the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE).

This year's camp will take place in Alissos, close to the city of Patras, on 6, 7 and 8 July 2018. 

The central political event will take place on Friday 6th July in Patras, with the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoumbas being the keynote speaker.
