Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE): "Trump demands, Sánchez obeys"

Trump demands, Sánchez obeys, the peoples pay.

Yesterday in NATO's summit Pedro Sánchez committed to what two days ago he completely refused: to increase Spain's military spend up to 2% of the budget. Once again the words of PSOE about NATO are in question, as they prove that the working class cannot place any trust in one social-democracy that has proved so many times to be one enemy for the people.

NATO is not increasing the military spend because of Trump's whim, it is a trend capitalism is developing in its global dimension. Contradictions between capitalist countries are increasing and wars, both conventional and unconventional ones, are happening more frequently. Rising powers are threatening the interests of NATO countries and the first big trade wars of the 21st century have already been unleashed. The danger of a world conflagration is increasing and NATO is getting ready for it. All of the western countries want a stronger and more warring NATO, its only discussion is about how to share out the bill.

What happened yesterday confirms the thesis that the struggle for peace and against the imperialist war can be only consistently given from the positions against NATO and for the immediate exit from the imperialist alliance. It does not matter the colour of the capitalist government there is as Spain, as a NATO member, is forced to commit its aggressive goals. The demands for better public services for the working people must be linked to the demand for the exit from NATO.

The working class must get ready for the struggle, focusing its goals towards the exit of Spain from NATO, the struggle against the participation of our country in any imperialist mission and against the use of our land, our sea and our air by the criminal forces of the Atlantic alliance.
