Venezuela stands once again at the crossroads of imperialist aggression and national resistance. Its oil-rich soil − potentially a foundation of social progress and independence − remains the object of fierce contest between foreign capital, domestic oligarchs, and bureaucratic interests.
The renewed U.S. aggression against Venezuela cannot be understood in isolation. It is not simply an episode of Washington’s unilateral hostility against a disobedient government. Rather, it is part of the broader inter-imperialist struggle that defines our epoch — a world order increasingly marked by the fierce rivalry between the U.S.-led imperialist bloc and the rising powers of Russia and China. Venezuela, with its vast oil reserves and strategic position in Latin America, has become a focal point in this global contest for domination, resources, and influence.
We, the undersigned Communist and Workers' Parties, express our condemnation of the current deployment of U.S. military forces in the Caribbean, on the orders of the Trump Administration, threatening Venezuela under the pretext of the fight against drug trafficking.
Preliminary Analysis of the General Elections in Bolivia The general elections in Bolivia, held on August 17, have yielded a result that traditional political science and superficial analysis attribute exclusively to the internal fracture of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS-IPSP).

The results of Sunday's elections in Bolivia were devastating for the leftist “Movement of Socialism” (Movimiento al Socialismo), known by the acronym MAS. Eduardo del Castillo, MAS’s candidate, received only approximately 3 percent of the vote—a historic collapse for a party that had ruled Bolivia for nearly two decades.
This result highlighted deep-seated economic crisis—20–25 percent inflation, fuel and dollar shortages, public frustration—and internal divisions within MAS (notably between Morales-aligned “Evista” and Arce-aligned “Arcista” factions).
This event marks the 60th anniversaries of Granma and Juventud Rebelde, newspapers founded by Fidel Castro Ruz, Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution.

On December 5 and 6, the 65th Summit of Presidents of Mercosur (Southern Common Market) was held in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay.

According to the latest reports, the Republican Senator from Florida, Marco Rubio, will be the next U.S Secretary of State in Trump's administration. Born and raised in Miami, the epicenter of Cuban-American counterrevolutionary activity, Rubio's major political characteristics is his proven enmity towards socialist Cuba.
He was born in 1971 by Cuban immigrants who left the island before the triumph of the Revolution. While studying law, Rubio worked for the notorious Cuban-born Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. Among others, Ros-Lehtinen has played a significant role in promoting and strengthening the U.S genocidal blockade against Cuba, while she lobbied for the release and pardon of counterrevolutionary terrorist Orlando Bosch who had been convicted of terrorist acts and has also been accused of involvement in the 1976 bombing of Cubana Flight 455 which killed 73 people.
In the early morning hours and without warning their lawyers or relatives, they were assaulted in their places of confinement (the Asunción women's prison in the case of the first two and the San Juan Bautista Regional Prison in the case of Laura V. .) by military agents without identification, hooded and with heavy caliber weapons, they took them to the new Minga Guazu Prison, in the department of Alto Paraná.
