In Mexico the rich became richer during the first leftist government of MORENA

Business tycoon Carlos Slim with President Obrador
Published in "El Machete", Organ of the CC of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM), under the title "Los ricos se hacen más ricos en el primer gobierno de izquierda":

June 2018 began with a whirlwind of emotions among the Mexican population. For the first time in our history as a country we would be governed by a left-wing party. Andrés Manuel López Obrador won the elections after more than a decade of campaigning and arrived with the promise of putting the poor first, who aren't few in Mexico. In fact, when AMLO assumed the presidency, there were more than 50 million people in poverty in Mexico. “The poor,” he said, had been forgotten during all the neoliberal governments from Salinas to Peña Nieto.

Operation Streaming: U.S new intelligence operation to distort the Cuban history

To modify historical facts on a whim, adapting them to a story that is harmful to the sovereignty of the peoples, is once again the bet of the U.S. government against the Cuban nation. That is what the denunciation that this newspaper amplified a few weeks ago is about, regarding an operation of the U.S. special services conceived -when not- to "change the regime" in Cuba.

Called Operation Streaming, which is not a very new term, it has among other purposes to rewrite the history of Cuba, to provide a sweetened description of pre-1959 capitalism and, of course, to present a whitewashed version of the neo-colony and the role of the U.S. in this history.

93rd anniversary of the Communist Party of Venezuela

On March 5, 1931, under the most adverse conditions of persecution and political extermination, the first communist branch was formed in Venezuela. Since then, 93 years of consistent struggle for the definitive emancipation of the working class from the yoke of capital have passed.

The efforts and contributions of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) to the organization of the working people of the city and the countryside for the conquest of political, social and labor rights, constitute deeds of ample recognition that no power can erase from history or from the memory of our people. Nor can the firm and intransigent struggle against imperialism of the Venezuelan communists be hidden.

The European Communist Action expresses its firm solidarity with the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), which is currently under severe attack by the PSUV's regime in power in the country.

"Not a minute of truce for the ultraliberal and neo-fascist government of Milei", proclaims the National Secretariat of the Communist Party of Argentina (Partido Comunista de la Argentina) in a statement published on 10 December 2023. The statement by the Communist Party reads:

"The executive led by La Libertad Avanza, with Vice President Villarruel, of the Military Party, and in alliance with Macrismo, among others, does not hide its cards: its links with investment funds, large multinational companies and their local representatives such as Caputo, Bausili or Tillard, their orientation against social protest, with the repressive apparatus in charge of Bullrich and Petri, their alignment with the United States and Israel, and their roadmap marked by the illegitimate and illegal agreement with the IMF, configuring a neocolonial project that comes from the plundering of the natural resources and common goods of our Homeland.

Tribuna Popular Editorial
