Aleka Papariga: The KKE’s stance towards bourgeois governments is a valuable tool for our current struggles

“Under capitalism, no government is an independent authority. Power is exercised by the bourgeoisie, and the bourgeois state is the instrument of its power, to which all institutions are subordinate. The decisions of the EU and NATO are binding and take precedence over national constitutions and national legislation. Governments of bourgeois management cannot and do not want to abolish the law of laws: capitalist profit. The defence of the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie by all means is inevitable and obligatory. Laws are abolished through the revolutionary overthrow of the system itself and the establishment of a new form of power: of the working class in a socialist communist society."

 

Communist Party of Israel: Report of the Party's Central Committee towards the 29th Congress

In the meeting of the 16th session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Israel, the Central Committee approved the holding of the party's 29^thcongress, on January 15, 2026- emphasizing that this congress is held under drastic and dramatic changes in Israel and the region. The Central Committee calls on cadres to prepare, in parallel with the intensification of the struggle and voices against the genocide and the government's repressive policies, and affirms its support for comrade Ayman Odeh, in the face of the process of his exclusion from the Knesset, and with comrade Aida Touma against the continuous measures against her, and all Hadash-Ta'al MKs, for expressing political positions of clear rejection to the genocidal war.  

PCV leader Oscar Figuera: "We urge the Communist Party of Chile to reflect on the situation in Venezuela"

On 3 July 2025, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) Oscar Figuera gave an interview to Eva Luna Gatica of the Chilean newspaper "El Mercurio". 

In the interview, which you can read below, Figuera refers to the recent primary victory of Communist Party of Chile's candidate Jeannette Jara, as well as to the position of the Chilean comrades on the situation in Venezuela:

Dimitris Koutsoumbas, GS of the CC of the KKE, spoke at the large political rally in Patras, which was the culmination of the events of the 34^th Anti-Imperialist Camp of KNE.

Thousands of young people also chanted together ‘Freedom for Palestine’ and ‘The imperialists are redividing the world, drawing borders with the blood of the peoples’, sending a message of internationalist solidarity to all the people that are rising up and fighting for their freedom against capitalist barbarity.

Messages by Palestinian, Israeli and Iranian Communist Youths at the 34th Antiimperialist camp of KNE

The 34th Anti-Imperialist Camp of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), the young wing of the KKE, was successfully held at Alissos, Peloponnese from 2 to 6 of July. The events culminated on Friday 4 July with a political rally in the city of Patras, well as with an anti-imperialist demonstration at Araxos military base on Saturday 5 July.

Greeting messages to the participants of the Camp were sent from Communist Youths from Palestine, Israel and Iran.

The June 2025 Democratic primary in New York shocked many on the U.S. left. Zohran Mamdani, a self-proclaimed socialist and member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), defeated former governor Andrew Cuomo to secure the party’s nomination for mayor. Supporters quickly declared the result a major breakthrough for the socialist movement. However, this development is less a victory than it is a reflection of a broader contradiction facing the U.S. left: the attempt to reconcile socialist rhetoric with participation in a party fundamentally loyal to capital.

With a new despicable memorandum signed by US President Donald Trump, the US administration has further intensified its measures of barbaric imperialist blockade and efforts to undermine Cuba. This is a continuation of the same policy pursued by the first Trump administration and maintained in its entirety by the Biden administration. Their declared aim is to cause economic suffocation to the Cuban people and to support the actions of counterrevolutionary groups in overthrowing the achievements of the Cuban people and the Revolution itself.

While committing genocide in Gaza, the far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu is simultaneously waging another war. This time within Israel, against the "internal enemy" who condemns and exposes the vile, genocidal acts against the Palestinian people.

These “enemies from within”, who have not stopped denouncing Netanyahu's leadership since the beginning of the war, have been fighting for years in extremely difficult conditions, in favor of peace and against the occupation.

‘With the peoples, all the way to freedom - against the system of injustice and war!’ This is the message of the thousands of young people from across Greece who have responded to the call of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) and will be meeting at the 34^th Anti-Imperialist Camp of KNE.

The Camp will take place from 2 to 6 July in Alissos, Achaia. As part of the event,  there will be a rally in Patras on Friday 4 July in the afternoon, where Dimitris Koutsoumbas, GS of the CC of the KKE, and Thodoris Kotsandis, Secretary of the Central Committee of KNE, will speak.

The Mamdani Moment and the Crisis of the “Left”

On June 24, 2025, Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City. His defeat of the Democratic Party old guard Andrew Cuomo has been hailed as a victory for socialism in America. Social media has been flooded with celebration. DSA apparatchiks are gloating. The only real victory was for the illusion that the system can be reformed.

Mamdani is a gifted politician. He has spoken courageously on Palestine, organized tenants and workers into his voting base, and has roots in the popular sectors. However, he is still a part of the machinery of the Democratic Party: a party of landlords, war profiteers, billionaires, the ruling capitalist class.

We intensify the struggle against NATO and its warmongering decisions

At the June 2025 NATO Summit in The Hague, member states committed to raise military spending to 5% of GDP by 2035. This escalation, cynically framed as a commitment to “defend democracy and freedom” and “support Ukraine,” is in fact a war agenda serving the declining hegemony of Euro-Atlantic capital in the face of increased inter-imperialist rivalry.

Cypriot Communists stage protest at US Embassy: "NATO out of Cyprus, close down the bases"

A protest rally of the Communist Initiative of Cyprus (CIC) was held on Friday afternoon (27/6/2025) outside the US Embassy in Nicosia, denouncing the role of the United States, NATO and Israel in the ongoing imperialist wars and expressing their solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Dozens of members and friends of the Initiative, including members of the KKE Party Organization in Cyprus, participated in the rally, shouting slogans such as “Freedom in Palestine”, “NATO out, close the bases, no participation in the interventions” and “Imperialism is not invincible”.
