Thousands of young people also chanted together ‘Freedom for Palestine’ and ‘The imperialists are redividing the world, drawing borders with the blood of the peoples’, sending a message of internationalist solidarity to all the people that are rising up and fighting for their freedom against capitalist barbarity.
Dimitris Koutsoumbas noted, among other things:
"The strategy of Greek involvement has been strengthened, as evidenced by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. This obviously also involves the use of military bases and other infrastructure throughout Greece. In addition to the bases at Araxos, Andravida and Aktio, there are also those at Souda, Alexandroupoli and Larissa, as well as dozens of other facilities serving NATO and the US. (…)
What we are experiencing today is not just imperialist bargaining. It is a fierce battleto divide markets and territories, to gain geopolitical footholds, to open and control trade routes across the world, andto control natural resources, which, instead of being a blessing for the people, are turned into a curse in the hands of monopolies. It is a fierce, relentless battle between the United States, China and their respective allied camps, as they are taking shape, over who will have the upper hand in their barbaric system; a battle that will certainly end in bloodshed.
It is no coincidence that agreements are being broken and alliances are being rearranged, as each imperialist bloc and each bourgeoisie within them tries to secure the largest possible share of the spoils from the redivision of the world.
The Greek bourgeoisie is seeking to do the same. This is why the New Democracy government, with the support of the other parties, continues to peddle the lie that its imperialist alliances act as a ‘security shield’ for our people and protect the country's sovereign rights. (…)
We must now shout from the rooftops:
No trust in the government that involves us in the imperialist war that will finish off what their imperialist peace left standing.
No trust in the government that is making war preparations, loading tens of billions onto the backs of the people and willingly implementing NATO's decision to spend 5% of GDP on military spending.
No trust in the government that is preparing to pump money into the war industrymonopolies, presenting them as benefactorsofthe country's defence, after providing them with new anti-labour laws to exploit the working class further, such as the law allowing a 13-hour working day that they are preparing to pass in Parliament.
No trust in a government that thinks it can easily rally the people under the banner of the bourgeoisie, in the name of a false ‘national unity,’ with the familiar slogan ‘all together.’ The working class and the people refuted this so-called ‘all together’ in practice by during the years of economic crisis and the years of the health crisis, the pandemic, through their struggles, disobedience and militant spirit, with the KKE at the forefront.They have the experience and strength to refute itagain now, as the government intends to send them to the slaughterhouses of war! The people and the youth must have confidence in their own struggle, with the KKE by their side!Now is the time for everyone who refuses to compromise with the system of injustice and war to take part in the just struggle with the KKE, which is exposing the dirty plans and taking the lead so that the peoplecan demand ‘Greece out of the war’through their struggle.

То, что мы видим сегодня - это не просто империалистический торг. Это ожесточенная борьба за раздел рынков и территорий, обретение геополитических опор, открытие торговых путей по всей планете и контроль над ними, за контроль над энергетическими ресурсами, которые вместо того, чтобы быть благом для народов, превращаются в проклятие, когда находятся в руках монополий. Это жесткая, беспощадная борьба между США и Китаем, а также между их формирующимися блоками за то, кто возьмет верх в этой варварской системе, которая, безусловно, не закончится бескровно.
Неслучайно сегодня соглашения расторгаются, а союзы переформатируются, поскольку каждый империалистический блок и каждая буржуазия внутри них пытается урвать как можно больший кусок добычи в ходе передела мира.
Того же самого добивается и греческая буржуазия. Вот почему правительство НД, пользуясь поддержкой других партий, продолжает дурачить нас, утверждая, что империалистические союзы представляют собой «щит безопасности» для нашего народа и защищают суверенные права страны. (…)
Сегодня должно быть слышно повсюду:
Никакого доверия правительству, участвующему в империалистической войне, которая завершит то, что оставил после себя империалистический мир.
Никакого доверия правительству, готовящему страну к войне, планирующему взвалить на плечи народа десятки миллиардов евро, реализуя решения НАТО о выделении на оборонные расходы до 5% ВВП страны.
Никакого доверия правительству, готовящемуся вкладывать деньги в компании оборонной промышленности, которое будет представлять их как благодетелей, вносящих вклад в обороноспособность страны, предварительно вооружив их новыми антирабочими законами, такими как, например, закон о 13-часовом рабочем дне, который оно готовится внести в парламент, чтобы еще больше эксплуатировать рабочий класс.
Никакого доверия правительству, которое думает, что может легко перетянуть народ под знамя буржуазии ради мнимого «национального единства», заводя известную пластинку «все вместе мы сможем». El Secretario General del Comité Central del KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumpas, habló en la gran concentración política en Patras que fue la culminación de los eventos del 34o Campamento Anti-imperialista de la KNE.
Miles de jóvenes gritaron todos juntos “Libertad para Palestina” y “los imperialistas reparten de nuevo el mundo y trazan las fronteras con la sangre de los pueblos”, enviando un mensaje de solidaridad internacionalista a todos los pueblos que “levantan cabeza” y luchan por su libertad contra la barbarie capitalista.
Dimitris Koutsoumpas destacó entre otras cosas:
“La estrategia de la implicación griega se ha reforzado como queda demostrado en la guerra en Ucrania y la guerra en Oriente Medio. Esto obviamente conlleva la utilización de las bases y de otra infraestructura militar en toda Grecia. Aparte de Áraxos, Andravida y Aktio, hay también bases militares en Suda, Alexandrúpolis, Lárisa y decenas de infraestructuras al servicio de la OTAN y EE.UU.(...)
Lo que experimentamos hoy no es un simple regateo imperialista. Es una dura confrontación por el reparto de mercados y territorios, por la adquisición de apoyos geopolíticos, por la apertura y el control de rutas comerciales en todo el globo, por el control de los recursos naturales que, en lugar de ser una bendición para los pueblos, se convierten en una maldición en manos de los monopolios. Es una batalla dura e implacable entre EE.UU., China y sus bandos respectivos, tal como se están configurando, sobre quién tendrá el control en su sistema bárbaro, una batalla que, por supuesto, no terminará sin derramamiento de sangre.
No es casualidad que actualmente se rompan acuerdos y se reordenen alianzas, ya que los bloques imperialistas y las clases burguesas en ellos buscan sacar por si mismos la mayor parte posible del botín del nuevo reparto del mundo.
Lo mismo busca conseguir la burguesía griega. Por eso el gobierno de la ND, con el apoyo de los demás partidos, sigue con el engaño de que las alianzas imperialistas son un “escudo de seguridad” para nuestro pueblo y protegen los derechos soberanos del país. (…)
Ahora hay que decir en todas partes:
Ninguna confianza en el gobierno que promueve la implicación en la guerra imperialista que acabará con todo lo que dejó en pie la paz imperialista.
Ninguna confianza en el gobierno de la preparación bélica que se está preparando a cargar sobre las espaldas del pueblo miles de millones implementando con creces las decisiones de la OTAN de destinar el 5% del PIB a gastos bélicos.
Ninguna confianza en el gobierno que se está preparando a inyectar más dinero a los monopolios de la industria bélica, a los que presenta supuestamente como benefactores que contribuyen a la defensa del país, después de haberles dotado de nuevas leyes antilaborales para que exploten aún más a la clase obrera, como la de 13 horas de trabajo que se están preparando a votar en el Parlamento.
Ninguna confianza en el gobierno que considera que puede arrastrar fácilmente al pueblo bajo la bandera de la burguesía en el nombre de una supuesta “unidad nacional”, con el discurso conocido de “todos juntos”. Este supuesto “todos juntos” lo derrotó la clase obrera, el pueblo con su lucha y con el KKE al frente durante los años de la crisis económica y de la crisis sanitaria, de la pandemia, con su desobediencia y su espíritu militante. Tiene la experiencia y la fuerza de derrotarlo también ahora que lo están preparando para los matadores de la guerra. (…) El pueblo y los jóvenes deben mostrar confianza en su propia lucha con el KKE a su lado.
Ahora es el momento de que todos y todas de que no se conforman con el sistema de injusticia y guerras, tomen parte en la lucha justa con el KKE que deja al descubierto sus planes sucios y se pone al frente, para que el pueblo con su lucha exija la “desvinculación de Grecia de la guerra”.”
