NATO propaganda infiltrates Greek schools — Imperialist brainwashing targets schoolchildren

Through the project "#WeAreNATO", which was launched in 2017, the imperialist North Atlantic Treaty Organization tries to spread its propaganda to the young generation, especially in universities and schools. A new incident in northern Greece comes to verify that NATO's propaganda infiltrates schools under the pretext of "educational programmes". 

The most recent case is the 3rd Primary School of Pylea-Chortiatis Municipality in Thessaloniki, Greece's second largest city, which was invited by NATO to visit the organization's Joint Forces Command in Naples, Italy. 

Israeli Communist Party: The settlements is a war crime endorsed by the United States

The Israeli Communist Party and the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality (Al-Jabha/Hadash) condemn US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's statement on Monday, November 18, that Israel's settlements in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 do not contravene international law.

This statement plainly reaffirms the US administration's unequivocal support for the policy of the Netanyahu government and the right-wing settlement project to the detriment of the right of self-determination for the Palestinian people, for the recognition of a “united Jerusalem,” for the elimination of the refugee issue, and for the erasure of the Green Line, all within the framework of the “Deal of the Century” and with the complicity of the Arab regimes.

KKE slams Mitsotakis government's measures for the refugee-migration issue

In a statement published on 902 portal, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) comments on the recent measures announced by the right-wing government of New Democracy (ND) regarding the refugee-migration issue. 

"The measures announced by the ND government for the refugee issue strengthen even further the entrapment and repression to asylum seekers, as well as the suffering of the local Greek population. They cultivate and fuel racism and xenophobic reactions. They are dangerous measures for both the refugees and the Greek people" points out the statement. 

GREECE: Massive anti-imperialist rally in honor of the 1973 Polytechnic Uprising (PHOTOS)

Thousands of people participated in the annual rally that was held in Athens, Greece on Sunday 17 November, in commemoration of the 1973 Polytechnic Uprising against the military Junta. 

The demonstrators marched through central streets of the Greek capital and ended outside the U.S. embassy where they shouted anti-imperialist slogans and burned flags of the United States and the European Union.

On Wednesday 13 November a group of hooded thugs entered the premises of the Bolivarian University in Caracas during the elections of the students council that was taking place.  The unknown men cowardly attacked members of the Communist Youth of Venezuela (Juventud Comunista de Venezuela), including José Daniel Ramos member of its National Directorate and a candidate for the students' council. 

Greeks pay tribute to the heroic 1973 Athens Polytechnic Uprising (PHOTOS)

Thousands of people of every age gathered today at the Athens Polytechnic in order to honour the heroic uprising of 1973 against the military dictatorship. 

The commemoration events which began on Friday will culminate on Sunday 17 November with the annual large anti-imperialist rally towards the U.S. embassy in downtown Athens. 

On the occasion of the Polytechnic uprsing anniversary, a statement by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) points out that "the slogans of the Polytechnic remain timely in the struggle aganst the policy that leads the people to poverty, unemployment, insecurity, against the implication of Greece in the imperialist plans of NATO-USA-EU, against repression and authoritarianism". 

In Erdogan's Turkey 18 million people are living below poverty line

While the world's media are busy covering Tayyip Erdogan's visit in the United States, a report issued by the General Workers Union exposes the harsh reality of the deepening of social inequalities in Turkey. 

According to a report titled "Income Inequality and Poverty in Turkey", the number of poor people in Turkey is 16 million, while 18 million people are living below poverty line. 

As the report notes, the working pverty in the country has increased by 11% in one year, while the capitalist crisis has created more than 1 million newly unemployed.

In a statement published in Rizospastis, the Communist Party of Greece group in the European Parliament denounces another anti-communist event organized at the EU Parliament's Plenary for the Berlin Wall fall anniversary, with the major speaker being the President of the German Parliament (Bundestag) Wolfgang Schäuble. 

The statement reads: "The anti-communist fiesta organized for the Berlin Wall fall, with a speech by Schauble at the Plenary of the EU Parliament in Brussels, confirms the role of the EU as a "standard-bearer" of anti-communist and history's distortion. Once again, the imperialists distort history and the truth. The Wall was the result of the intervention and aggression of the imperialists, of the continuous subversion against the German Democratic Republic (GDR). 

IMPORTANT NOTICE — TWITTER SUSPENDED “IN DEFENSE OF COMMUNISM” ACCOUNT

Without any prior warning or justification, the social media platform TWITTER proceeded to the suspension of the "In Defense of Communism" account (twitter.com/id_communism) on Thursday 14 November 2019. 

The account, which had 10,500 followers, never violated any of the terms and conditions of TWITTER and was never engaged into any exchange of hate messaging or any kind of offensive behaviour against other accounts. 

Israeli communists condemn air strikes against Gaza and Damascus - الشيوعي والجبهة يدينان العدوان الإسرائيلي الإجرامي على غزة ودمشق

The Communist Party of Israel and the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality (Al-jabha/Hadash) unequivocally condemn Israel's criminal acts of aggression against both Damascus and Gaza, the latter of which were initiated by the Israeli military beginning at dawn on Tuesday, November 12, resulting in 5 deaths. 

The CPI and Al-jabha/Hadash counsel against the Israel's resumption of targeted assassinations aimed at escalating the situation, as was made so clear today in the statements released by Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, and the head of the Israel Security Agency ("Shin Bet").

Greek riot police storms Athens University of Economics, suspends academic sanctuary

In a statement issued on Monday, the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) denounces the violation of the academic sanctuary by police forces which stormed the Athens University of Economics (ASOEE) and fired tear gas against demonstrating students. 

Greek riot police forces entered the premises of the university on Monday in order to remove students who were protesting against the decision of the institute's senate to shut down the university for a week. During the raid, police fired tear gas and firecrackers to disperse the students.

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) strongly condemns the US-inspired coup in Bolivia

In a statement published on 902 portal, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns the U.S-inspired coup in Bolivia and calls for international solidarity towards the people of Bolivia and Latin America.
