Cuba's new constitution ratifies the goal of advancing towards a "communist society"

The goal of “advancing toward a communist society” has been reinserted into the draft of Cuba's new constitution after its removal from the first version, state-run television said last Thursday.

From August 13 to November 15, Cuba hosted a consultation on the initial version of the document, a process in which more than 133,000 meetings were attended by almost nine million citizens, who issued 783,000 proposals.

The opinions expressed in neighborhoods and centers of work and study, as well as by Cubans living abroad, became, after processing, around 9,600 sample proposals, half of them incorporated in one form or another into the project.

66% of Russians regret the Soviet Union's dissolution - Capitalism has utterly failed

Twenty-seven years since the victory of the counterrevolution in the dissolution of the Soviet Union, seems that the capitalist "heaven" in Russia has been proved nothing more than an illusion.

Where is the supposed "paradise" of free-market capitalism that the counterrevolutionaries of Gorbachev and Yeltsin- alongside their imperialist allies- were promising to the people of Russia? Apparently it was a blatant lie.

Despicable anticommunism: MEPs urge Amazon to drop Soviet-themed goods!

A spectre is haunting the imperialist European Union. It's the Soviet Union and the socialist revolutions of the 20th century which paved the way for the abolition of the exploitation of man by man.

The servants of the capitalist system tremble at the idea of a socialist revolution and make everything in order to "exorcise" such a perspective. They even tremble at the sight of t-shirts that bear the initials CCCP and the sickle and hammer!

Parliamentary politics and the communist party: the electoral arena, experience and lessons from Greece and the KKE

By Giorgos Marinos*.
We would like to thank the South African Communist Party for giving us the opportunity to attempt to share some basic elements from the experience of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) with our comrades. In our opinion, the exchange of views on the issues of class struggle and the communist movement enhances our knowledge and experience.
Introduction
The KKE was founded as a party of the working class one century ago, in November 1918, as a result of the merging of the labour movement with scientific communism, under the decisive impact of the Socialist October Revolution.

Socialism and Health: Family medicine in Cuba, an achievement of the Revolution

Cuba’s goal to provide medical care to its entire population was the premise that sustained the basic health program established at the community level during the early years of the Revolution.
As a result of the continued commitment to this policy, in 2017, a total of 83,534,085 consultations were offered in the 10,851 family doctor’s offices throughout the country.
Although the Cuban National Public Health System was created in 1968, to implement a set of measures to deal with infectious and contagious diseases, malnutrition, parasitism, anemia, and others, the family medicine model emerged in 1984, as part of the necessary transformations in a society facing new challenges.

Where is the nationalism of Tito’s group in Yugoslavia leading to?

By Joseph V. Stalin.
Pravda, 8th December 1948.

In the well-known resolution of the Information Bureau of the Communist Parties adopted in June 1948 ‘On the Situation in the Communist Party of Yugoslavia’ it is pointed out that in recent months the nationalist elements that covertly existed even earlier have come to dominate the leadership of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, that the leadership of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia has broken away from the internationalist traditions of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia and has taken up the course of nationalism.

KKE: Marxism as a factor in the shaping of sociopolitical processes in Greece

Marxist Theory as a factor in the shaping of sociopolitical processes in Greece: Some Conclusions drawn from the action of the KKE.

International Conference on Karl Marx’s “Capital” and its Impact on the development of the World Moscow, May 11 - 12, 2018

By Giorgos Magganas
representative of the Ideological Committee of the CC of the KKE.

The central work of Marxism, “Capital” is the foundation, the pedestal of a radically new worldview – Dialectical Materialism -  that, having assimilated the totality of intellectual achievement, shattered the limitations of the interpretations of the world, creating the theoretical preconditions that make changing it not only timely but realistic.

KKE: The danger of the imperialist war and the stance of the Communists

Theses of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) at the 12th International Conference "V.I.Lenin and the Contemporary World".

The inter-imperialist contradictions, which in the past led to dozens of local, regional wars and to two World Wars, continue to lead to tough economic, political and military confrontations, irrespective of the composition or recomposition, the changes in the structure and the framework of goals of the international imperialist unions, their so-called new "architecture". In any case, "war is the continuation of politics by other means", especially in the conditions of a deep crisis of capital's over-accumulation and important changes in the correlation of forces of the international imperialist system, in which the re-division of the markets rarely occurs without bloodshed.

Interview with the Communist Party (Italy)

Special interview with Guido Ricci, member of the Political Bureau and head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Italy (Partito Comunista).

IDC: Taking into account the existing difficulties and the political correlation of forces, how do you evaluate the result of the March elections for the Communist Party, Italy? Did you achieve the basic objectives you had set before the elections?

PC: As you know, our Party does not consider elections and the parliamentary activity as the only possible form of struggle. According to the teachings of Lenin and Gramsci, the presence in the bourgeois parliament must be used to develop the work outside and against it. We approached these elections as an opportunity to verify our Party's mobilization ability, improve our organizational skills and attract new militants. We considered the elections as a means of making the party grow. Actually, a considerable number of workers and young people came into contact with the Party during the signatures drive and the election campaign. New party organizations have been established and the existing ones have been strengthened thanks to new comrades joining them.
