Greenland: A "Northern Front" of Inter-Imperialist Rivalry
The developments surrounding Greenland should not be treated as a diplomatic anomaly or as the product of individual political choices.
They are a concentrated expression of the contemporary phase of imperialism, in which the sharpening competition among capitalist powers drags strategic regions and smaller peoples into conflicts not of their own making.

Where is China and Russia when Palestine needs them?
Across the left, there are currents — from communist parties to broader progressive forces — that elevate China and Russia as the “anti-imperialist” counterweight to U.S. hegemony. Within the ideological framework of so-called multipolarity, these states are portrayed as the alternative power bloc that will restrain imperialism and give oppressed nations breathing space.
Yet Palestine exposes this myth. As Gaza burns, Moscow and Beijing issue statements while preserving trade, diplomacy, and investment with Netanyahu Government. Their actions reveal not liberation, but complicity.

Imperialism, Multipolarity and Palestine
It is a continuing source of frustration that an important segment of the left holds the view that weakening the United States’ long-established grip on the top rungs of the hierarchical system of imperialism is– in itself– an attack on imperialism.
Many of our friends, including those who claim to aim at a socialist future, mistakenly see an erosion in the US position as the imperialist system’s hegemon as necessarily a step guaranteeing a just future, lasting peace, or a step towards socialism.

KKE: Using the “multi-polar world” to whitewash capitalism
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit meeting was used to foster new illusions among the peoples. Certain forces see imperialism merely as the “empire” of the USA and on this basis they salute the promotion of new emerging capitalist powers in global affairs, such as the emergence of new inter-state unions (BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Collective Security Treaty Organization, ALBA etc.), which are formed by capitalist states, with an economic–political and military content.

China's Decisive Role in the Defeat of Fascism in WWII: A Response to Taiwan’s Historical Revisionism
Recently, Taiwan’s government has once again attempted to rewrite the history of the Second World War, claiming that the Communist Party of China (CPC) played no role in the resistance against Japanese imperialism and, by extension, no role in the victory over fascism.
This claim is not only historically inaccurate — it is a deliberate act of political revisionism, intended to deny the legacy of socialist struggle and the contribution of the Chinese people in the 1945 Great Antifascist Victory.

Does China have an internationalist foreign policy?
A number of observant commentators have raised questions about Peoples’ China’s Belt and Road Initiative and more broadly, the foreign policy of the PRC.
Reliable left observers like Ann Garrison, writing in Black Agenda Report, have voiced concerns about Chinese investments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, based on Siddharth Kara’s book, Cobalt Red, How the Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives. Kara contends that Chinese are engaged in a brutal competition to acquire a raw material essential to battery manufacturing, participating in the highly exploitative practice of artisanal cobalt mining.

Trade wars and tariffs are the normality of capitalism
The fairy tales about a "peaceful" redistribution of the world, which flared up with Trump's election, the bargaining over Ukraine, and the ceasefire in the Middle East, have collapsed with a blast. Those who try to whitewash the imperialists with such lies and hide their irreconcilable rivalries under the carpet are shamelessly provoking the people.

Enver Hoxha: Revolutionary communists expect China to come out openly against Khrushchevite revisionism
On April 3, 1962, the leader of the Party of Labour of Albania, Enver Hoxha, called China to publicly denounce what he refereed to as "Khrushchevite revisionism". It is reminded that Socialist Albania's relations with the Soviet Union had been ruptured since December 1961, following Hoxha's fierce critique against Khrushchev's "revisionism" and "anti-marxism".Enver Hoxha's 1962 statement was the following:

The US, Greenland, Canada, Panama and the Clay Feet of NATO Propaganda
“Delusional,” “clumsy,” “paranoid.” These are just some of the descriptions that accompany the reports about the statements of the newly elected US President, Donald Trump, on Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal.
Last Tuesday, Trump stated in the press conference that he does not rule out the use of military force to take control of the Panama Canal and Greenland, since - as he said - US control of both these areas is “vital” to American national security.

China’s health officials look to U.S. health insurance capitalists
U.S. and Chinese capitalism are heading to war over which power will dominate the exploitation of the world’s working people. But this antagonism does not prevent the capitalists of both countries cooperating to suck the blood of Chinese and U.S. workers.
Take the business of healthcare, for example. The American Chamber of Commerce in China brought a group of China’s health officials to the U.S. The purpose? To sell them on the profits to be made out of the Medicare Advantage ripoff.

Multipolarity and BRICS, once more...
The debates over “multipolarity” and the significance of an allegedly multipolar BRICS grouping continue. In an opinion piece in People’s Voice (Canada) (“Multipolarity, BRICS+ and the struggle for peace, cooperation, and socialism today”, June 16-30, 2024) writer Garrett Halas mounts an earnest defense of multipolarity and the BRICS+ “as a positive step towards socialism.”

A routine report on China's economy
Below are excerpts from a routine report in the Western business press on China's economy. The statistics come from the PRC government.
While many U.S. congresspersons, governors, and so on denounce “communist China,” the Western business press has no problem reporting plain facts just as it does for any other capitalist country.

Multipolaristas’ Dugin maneuvers through BRICS contradiction
Aleksander Dugin, a propagandist for Putin’s great-Russian imperialism, has had to maneuver through one of the contradictions within the BRICS association – the unity and contention between China and Russia.
Supposedly a historian and philosopher, Dugin spews reactionary filth going back to feudal times.

China’s Stock Market: A Lesson on What Socialism Is Not
Late in January, the Chinese government arranged for its state-owned companies to put as much as $282 billion into the falling stock market. The companies were told to buy via Hong Kong accounts.
The government is desperate to halt a big slide in the Shanghai Composite Index, which had fallen nearly to its March 2020 low point at the start of the COVID pandemic.
Why does a “socialist” economy have a stock market?

Late in January Sinohydro Corp and China Railway Group Limited re-negotiated their plunder of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). They hold 68% of Sicomines, a joint copper and cobalt mining venture with a local corporation. The two Chinese corporations will pay a pitiful royalty of 1.2% on gross sales.
The Chinese firms also pledged to invest $7 billion in infrastructure in the Congo during the life of the agreement. However, in the previous contract they had agreed to put in $3 billion but actually invested only $822 million.

Who Understands Civilization — Xi's CPC or Working People?
Xi Jinping, chairman of the Communist Party of China (CPC), asks, “Without the 5,000-year-long Chinese civilization, how could we have Chinese characteristics?"(i)
When Donald Trump visited Beijing in 2017, Xi told him, “The only continuous civilization to continue onwards is China.”(ii)
