Vive la lutte des ouvriers de France! WFTU and PAME protest at the French Embassy in Athens

With a militant demonstration outside the French Embassy in Athens earlier today, members of the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) and the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) expressed their solidarity with the General Strike of December 17th and their support towards the working class of France

The General Secretary of WFTU George Mavrikos, alongside PAME International Relations Section's member Nikolas Theodorakis, had an one-hour meeting with the Ambassador of France and presented a motion of solidarity with French workers, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the anti-people reform project.

In a statement, PAME reiterates its strong solidarity with the December 17th strike pointing out that the "workers of France have been in continuous strikes and actions the last two weeks to prevent the destruction of their workers’, pension and insurance rights".

The PAME statement also adds: "The governments  attacking on wages, pensions, the right to Social Security, in both Greece and France, shows that in every country workers have a common enemy business groups-EU-governments that want in every way to maximize the profits of the monopolies by abolishing everything left standing by workers’ rights".

“On est là”

Also, the National Union of Musicians of Greece (PMS) recorded a song titled “On est là”, in French and Greek, thus sending a music message of solidarity to French workers on the occasion of the December 17th strike. You can watch the video with the message below:
