Poland's Communist Party denounces the fascist frenzy on independence day march

Regarding the provocative presence of far-right, fascist groups in yesterday's independence day march in Warsaw, the Communist Party of Poland (KPP) issued the following statement:

"In Poland, the 11th of November again became a pretext to promote the militarism and fascism. The authorities of the Polish state marched hand in hand with the nationalists. Once again the red and white banners serve as a cover-up for xenophobia, racism, and fascism. Poland's rulers once again use the nationalist euphoria in order to divert the attention from real social problems. The Polish state again gives the citizens nationalist paraphernalia instead of what they really need.

Northern european Communist Parties condemn NATO's role in the Baltic Sea

The Communist Parties of five northern european countries, namely Germany, Sweden, Poland and Denmark, co-sign a resolution in which they condemn the aggressive role of NATO in the Baltic Sea, demanding the restoration of the political rights of communists in Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic countries.

In a statement, the Communist Party of Poland (KPP) strongly denounces the recent demolition of the Red Army monument at Warsaw's Skaryszewski Park, comparing this practice of the Polish authorities to what the Islamic State did to historical sites in the Middle East. The Communist Party of Poland wishes to express its utmost indignation at the destruction of the monument commemorating the soldiers of the Red Army situated in the Skaryszewski Park in Warsaw. 

How ungrateful are you Poland? Authorities dismantled Red Army monument in Warsaw

Within the framework of the hideous "decommunization" law, the reactionary right-wing government of Poland ordered the dismantling of the Monument of Gratitude to the Soldiers of the Red Army at Warsaw's Skaryszewski Park. 

The Monument had been erected in 1946 in order to honor the 26 heroic Soviet soldiers who were killed there during a battle on September 1944. Throughout the years, the monument had been vandalized by various fascists and neo-Nazis. 

Poland: New provocative effort by the government to outlaw the Communist Party

Poland's bourgeois government continues its provocative anti-communist policy, this time by renewing the effort to outlaw the country's Communist Party (CPP) and ban its symbols. This new effort by Warsaw was denounced by the Communist Party of Greece at the European Parliament. 

More specifically, the KKE MEP Kostas Papadakis submitted to the European Commission a question regarding the unacceptable and anti-democratic initiative of the Polish government.

Fascists vandalized Red Army cemetery in Poland - Russian MFA asks for investigation

In an outrageous act of vandalism, unknown fascists damaged 23 metal stars on mass graves at the Gdansk cemetery where about 3,000 Soviet soldiers, civilians and prisoners of war are buried.

According to TASS, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation condemned the attack and called for an investigation without delay, urging Polish authorities to bring those responsible to justice.

Anticommunist hysteria in Poland: Police storms university conference on Marxism!

The Communist Party of Poland denounces political persecution launched by the Polish authorities expressed by the increasing attacks. 

The especially outrageous example happened on the 11th of May when police entered the conference about Marxism held in Szczecin University’s facilities in Pobierowo. The functionaries acting on demand of the prosecutor’s office were searching for evidence of “promoting totalitarian system”. This intrusion constituted a clear violation of the university’s autonomy and constitutional right for freedom of the scientific activity. Professor organizing the conference said that police intervention was “an attempt to intimidate the scientists and to entangle them into the political order that is entirely contradictory with values such as freedom of speech and scientific research”. He also stated that the basic citizen’s rights are endangered.

Poland towards fascistization: President Duda signs law that exonerates Polish Nazi collaborators

In a disgraceful effort to rewrite history and under the pretext of "safeguarding the country's image", Poland's President Andrzej Duda confirmed that he will sign into law a highly controversial bill which in fact intends to exonerate the polish collaborators of Nazi forces during WW2. 

The new law will impose prison sentences of up to three years for mentioning the term “Polish death camps” and for suggesting “publicly and against the facts” that the Polish nation or state was complicit in Nazi Germany’s crimes.

Lech Walesa wakes up in a “fascist” Poland

Almost three decades after the prevalence of counterrevolution in Poland, Lech Walesa realizes some of the monstrous results of capitalism's restoration. The co-founder and first head of the renowed anticommunist “Solidarity” trade union, stated in his Twitter post on January 23 that fascist organizations really exist in Poland.

“We have fascism in Poland. Those are not just some incidents,as Jarosław Kaczyński (chairman of the ruling right-wing Law and Justice party), Mateusz Morawiecki (Polish PM), and PiS are trying to portray them. Instead of decisively tackling this problem, they just talk about it,” –wrote Walesa.

With a protest outside the Polish embassy yesterday in Athens, members of the Communist Party of Greece expressed their condemnation of the anticommunist persecutions that take place in Poland. 

The delegation of the KKE, headed by the Member of the European Parliament Kostas Papadakis, delivered to the personnel of the embassy a statement in which the Party expresses its opposition to the persecutions.

Anti-communist persecution against the Communist Party of Poland continues. On 27th of November the court proceedings will restart. The judicial prosecution based on charges of propagating communist ideology in the „Brzask” newspaper and on the party's website continues for two years.

This trial is a part of a campaign made by the government to illegalize the Communist Party of Poland.

From Warsaw with hate: Fascist and neo-Nazi groups marched in the streets of Poland's capital

Poland is the country where Communists are being persecuted for their activity and ideology by the bourgeois state's mechanisms, the Communist Party faces every kind of repression by the government (which demolishes Soviet monuments) and where fascists, racists and neo-Nazis march in the streets, spreading their poison of hate! According to news agencies, an estimated ten thousand far-right nationalists marched in Poland’s capital city of Warsaw on Saturday, dwarfing the official celebrations and casting a pall on the country's Independence Day commemoration.

We condemn the changes of street names around Poland driven by the government, and the increasing number of devastations and liquidations of monuments commemorating heroes of struggle against fascism. Recent example is the dismantling of the Mausoleum of the Red Army in Trzcianka. Changing names of the streets and attacks on monuments of Soviet and Polish soldiers, communist partisans and militants of the workers’ movement are a result of the historical policy imposed by the state authorities. It is being implemented by the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) which is questioning even liberation of Poland in 1944–1945.

Anti-communist, reactionary hysteria in Poland continues...

According to the Russian news agency TASS, the lower house of Poland’s parliament, the Sejm, voted on Thursday to introduce amendments to the country’s de-communization law, envisaging the demolition of Soviet-era monuments, including memorials in honor of the Red Army. "The law has been passed," the press service of the Sejm confirmed to TASS.

Poland: Promoting fascism through anticommunist legislation and history's falsification

In a statement, the Communist Party of Poland (Komunistyczna Partia Polski) denounces the attempts of the Polish state- supported by various institutions and the Catholic church- to falsify history and erase the crimes of fascism from the public memory. 

Changes of street names carried out under the “Decommunisation Act” serves the purpose of falsifying History in the interest of the ruling right wing. Historical policy implemented by the state institutions discriminates, on political grounds, anyone associated with communism, regardless of his/her significance or achievements. The list of toponyms that are to be changed is still expanding and includes not only those directly involved in the communist activity.

The EU justifies the shameful anti-communist hysteria in Poland

The EU does not condemn the anticommunist persecution in Poland, but even seeks to justify it.

The answer of the EU commission is unacceptable in relation to the question of the KKE’s delegation in the European Parliament regarding the unacceptable decisions of the Polish courts against members and cadres of the CP of Poland, with sentences of up to 9 months in prison, because it is considered an “offense” and crime to disseminate their ideas in the “Brzask” newspaper and the website www.kompol.org. Not only did it not condemn the anticommunist persecution, but it even attempted to legally justify it by invoking the non-application of the reactionary EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. 

While the Commission and other EU bodies are very noisy in other instances that are convenient for their interests, in the face of the anticommunist hysteria it pretends to “wash its hands of it”. While it presents itself as being … sensitive and an unsolicited “defender of human rights”, intervening in the internal affairs of states all over the world, using all forms of imperialist interventions and pressure, it finds nothing to say about anticommunist persecution and bans.

The right-wing, pro-capitalist government of Poland adds another episode in the series of it's anti-communist paranoia. After the continuous persecutions against communists in the country, after the decision to re-write history by destroying 500 Soviet-era monuments, the government of Andrzej Duda signed a law banning all references to communism! According to the law - signed on May 20th - local authorities will have 12 months to change any names linked to individuals, organisations, events or dates reflecting such political ideologies.

According to the AFP report from Warsaw: "The law specifies that any mention of the regime in place in Poland between 1944 and 1989, when the country was part of the Soviet bloc, would be a no-no. The governing Law and Justice (PiS) party, which came to power in November after eight years in opposition, is stridently anti-communist. The movement emerged out of the freedom-fighting Solidarity trade union that negotiated a peaceful end to communism in Poland in 1989".

Polish government's fascist practices against communists / Appeal of KPP for International Solidarity

Communist Party of Poland (KPP) - Appeal for International Solidarity.

Four activists of the CPP were condemned on 31st of March 2016 by the Regional Court in Dąbrowa Górnicza for propagating communist ideology in the „Brzask” newspaper and on the party's website. They have been sentenced to 9 months of limited freedom with compulsory gratuitous social work and fines. 

This provocative verdict was taken during the summary procedure without presence of all the sides, that is usually used in offences, when guilt of the accused is certain. The court did not even undertake standard judgement procedure and based its verdict only on a charge. The accused even had no possibility to defend themselves. The condemned had already made objections to a judgement demanding normal court proceedings.

Solidarność: The CIA-backed 'Trojan Horse' of Poland's Counterrevolution

The Polish government's persistent anti-communist hysteria and the decision to demolish Soviet monuments throughout the country brought to our mind the relatively recent history of Poland's Counterrevolution. And when we talk about Counterrevolution in Eastern Europe and especially in Poland we can't ignore two major names: Solidarność (Solidarity) and Lech Walesa. 

The course of events since 1980 prove that Solidarność was the 'Trojan Horse' of Counterrevolution in Poland. Solidarność's leadership- a bunch of anticommunist charlatans like Walesa- deceived the polish working class. Solidarity had succesfully presented itself as a "pro-working class" union but its actual positions were pro-capitalist. 

Solidarność was against central planning. The Trade Union's programme was stating among other things: 

"The Red Army liberated Rzeszow, that is a fact"- Polish city refuses to demolish Soviet-era monument

Even in today's Poland- an EU and NATO member- there are signs of resistance to the anti-communist hysteria. The distortion of History and the intentional effort for the equation of Communism with Nazism must not- and will not- pass (IDC).

The city of Rzeszow, close to Poland’s border with Ukraine, has ignored calls to remove a Soviet-era monument celebrating the liberation of the city from the Nazis. Last month, Poland’s historical legacy institute urged the immediate removal of 500 such memorials across the country.

The monument was erected in 1950, and expresses “gratitude” to the Red Army for its actions.
