Theses of the CC of the KKE: The current international reality and the stance of the international communist movement on imperialist wars

The Theses of the Central Committee of the KKE for the 22nd Congress provide a crucial and timely intervention in the international communist movement. 

 

They address the serious ideological confusion that has intensified with the imperialist war in Ukraine, especially the widespread misinterpretations of imperialism and the alignment of several communist parties with one or another imperialist pole.

 

KKE events ahead of the 22nd Congress in the USA, Canada and Australia

In the framework of the preparation for the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), a series of events is taking place among the Greek diaspora. In North America, the Party organisations in Montreal and Toronto already held their meetings on 28 and 29 November. 

The speaker was Zisis Lymberidis, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of KKE and head of the Party’s External Committee. The meetings focused on the theme: “Against anti-people policy and war preparations — with the communists on the road of struggle and overthrow, for Socialism.” 

Communist Party of Greece: The Central Committee has published its Theses for the 22nd Party Congress

The newspaper Rizospastis, the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), has published the Theses of the Central Committee for the 22^nd Congress.

These include the Party’s assessments of developments in the world and the country, as well as a review of the Party’s activities and political tasks for the period leading up to the 23^rd Congress.

The 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) to be held on 29-31 January 2026

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) has announced that its 22nd Congress will be held from 29–31 January 2026 in Athens under the slogan: “Strong KKE, stable in every trial, ready for History’s call to Socialism.”

According to 902 portal, preparations will begin in October, when the Central Committee publishes its Congress Positions in the party newspaper Rizospastis. A pre-Congress debate will follow, involving both internal party structures and the youth wing (KNE), as well as public discussion through party publications.

 

Communist Party of Greece (KKE): Imperialist War and the International Communist Movement

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) is in the process of preparing for its 22nd Congress, due to take place at the end of 2025.

In this context, the Central Committee of the KKE has elaborated and published a series of Resolutions addressing key issues in the activities of the KKE. These resolutions were published in the journal “Communist Review”, a theoretical and political organ of the CC of the KKE, and are currently being discussed throughout the organs and organisations of the Party and KNE.
