“Only a strong KKE can strengthen the genuine 100% militant people’s opposition against the omnipotence of the policy of capital, against the New Democracy government, against the ‘opposition ministry’ of SYRIZA-PASOK and all the parties of the system. This is the only way to create cracks within this negative correlation of forces.”
The above quote from the speech of Dimitris Koutsoumbas, General Secretary of the CC of the KKE, in the large pre-election rally in Athens summarizes the whole significance of Sunday's parliamentary elections in Greece.

“The mass red rally of the people and youth here in Athens confirms that the positive step taken in May can now become a leap forward” stressed Dimitris Koutsoumbas.
Being by far the largest political gathering of all parties ahead of June 25th parliamentary elections, the pre-election rally of the KKE sent a resounding, hopeful message of unwavering struggle, for a 100% militant, popular opposition against the next anti-people government of New Democracy (ND) party.

The latest data according to the UNHCR, shows that there are 108 million people that were forcibly displaced worldwide.

Following our split from the Party of Communists USA (PCUSA), we analyzed the events leading to the fracture. This analysis was undertaken to further our understanding of opportunism in the US, and shed light on its manifestations in one of the so-called leading “communist” parties, particularly in matters of organization. Here we further our work and aim to set the table for ideological confrontation with the strange political groupings taking place in the US communist movement. One such grouping is that of the PCUSA, led by Angelo D’Angelo, and the Center for Political Innovation (CPI), led by Caleb Maupin. Such alliances take place within the context of the drawing together of these forces within the orbit of the “World Anti-Imperialist Platform” (WAP).

Turkey's coastal city of Izmir will be the hosting place of the 23rd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) on October 20-22, 2023. The decision was taken during the IMCWP Working Group meeting that was held in Istanbul on Saturday 10 June.
The responsibility for organizing and hosting of October's meeting belongs to the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP). It is reminded that Izmir had hosted the 21st IMCWP in October 2019.

He rose to fame following the publication of his novel “Le Feu” (Under Fire) in 1916, which is based on Barbusse's experiences as a soldier on the Western Front during the First World War.
