In a public communique addressed to the world's Communist and Workers' Parties, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) presents a digital dossier containing detailed evidence of the plan to assault the Party being carried out by the leadership of the PSUV and the government.

KKE denounces anti-communist conference held by Budapest's "Greek Institute"

Members and supporters of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in Hungary have issued a statement denouncing the anti-communist content of a conference (“Trauma and Appeasement”) organized on Sunday 23 April  by the Budapest-based “Greek Institute” (Görög Intézet.

The KKE will not take part in anti-popular government, says Party Secretary Koutsoumbas

"The KKE won't participate in any anti-popular government", clarifies the Party's leader ahead of the Greek Parliamentary Elections of 21 May 2023.

The 8th of April marked the 10th death anniversary of the so-called “Iron Lady”, Margaret Thatcher. Following the announcement of her death, on 8 April 2013, spontaneous celebrations erupted in numerous working class neighborhoods throughout Britain.

Kazakhstan: Mass strikes in Zhanaozen and Mangistau following the arrest of oil workers in Astana

Kazakhstan is again shaken by events related to mass rallies and strikes, which also began in the oil-producing western region of the country. 

 

The reason for the protests was the mass arrest on Tuesday of a delegation of dismissed oil workers who went to Astana (now Nur-Sultan) to seek the truth from officials of the Ministry of Energy.

Workers Party of Ireland: On the presence of the US President in Ireland. No to Biden! No to NATO!

In a statement, the Central Executive Committee of the Workers Party of Ireland refers to US President Joe Biden's visit to Ireland:   

This week the US President, Biden, is in Ireland, supposedly to mark the 25th anniversary of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement. This is a pretext. He will spend very little time in Northern Ireland where he has one brief engagement.

Thanasis Pafilis (KKE): "Today the people in Türkiye and Greece need a strong Communist Party"

The outbreak of the imperialist war in Ukraine has sharpened the contradictions within the international communist movement around serious ideological-political issues that have been plaguing it for years and express the opportunist influence in its ranks. Naturally, the focus was on the stance towards the imperialist character of the war that is being waged between the USA-NATO-EU and capitalist Russia on the territory of Ukraine, the stance towards the bourgeoisie and its political representatives such as social democracy, the problematic analyses of the imperialist system and the position of China and Russia, and other issues, more deeply connected with the question of the erroneous strategy of stages towards socialism, of support for and participation in bourgeois governments.

Recently, the website of the Russian Communist Workers' Party (RCWP) published an interview with Haz Al-Din, a U.S citizen of Arab origin, who alongside with others have created an “online collective” known as “Infrared”. This person considers himself to be a “Marxist-Leninist” and, as the RCWP website informs us in the introduction, he “infiltrates” the U.S Republican Party. Apparently, this is something interesting for the RCWP which decided to present his views in Russia.

After the Social Democrats did the “dirty work” of throwing the country into NATO and building a 300 km long wall against Russia, they failed to come on top in the elections. U.S-Britain to nominate Zelensky as next NATO's Chief

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is going to be nominated for the position of NATO's General Secretary, succeeding Jens Stoltenberg who is set to step down later this year.

According to the State Department's spokesperson Ned Price, President Joe Biden and British Premier Rishi Sunak have both agreed to support Zelensky's nomination in the North Atlantic Council Summit that is due to take place in Brussels in September 2023. The initiative is also endorsed by French President Emmanuel Macron, while the governments of Germany, Italy and Canada are expected to respond positively.

Austrian Communists slam Zelensky's appearance at Vienna Parliament

The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) sharply criticises the propaganda appearance of the Ukrainian president Zelensky in the Vienna parliament. 

 

The representative of a war party as well as of a reactionary, repressive regime is out of place in the democratic heart of a neutral country. What is needed is a policy of neutrality and peace instead of NATO war propaganda. 

Communist Party of Mexico: The death of migrants in Ciudad Juárez is a "state crime"

"The Biden-Obrador anti-immigrant policy is responsible for the death of migrants" points out the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM), concerning the tragic death of at least 40 migrants at the National Institute of Migration Station in Ciudad Juárez, close to the U.S-Mexican border.  

 

In addition to those who died, 28 people were hospitalised after being injured.

What is going on in Israel? Far-Right Government in Crisis, General Strike and Mass Protests

Beset by three months of unprecedented protests against his nationalist-religious coalition's signature plan to overhaul the judiciary, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday hit the pause button and called for compromise negotiations.

Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets in cities across Israel in a spontaneous outburst of anger on Sunday after Netanyahu fired his defense minister for challenging his judicial overhaul plan.

Gorbachev ignored data about U.S agents in the Soviet leadership, ex-spy says

Mikhail Gorbachev, the Soviet Union's last President who led the last phase of the counterrevolution, ignored disturbing intelligence reports about the activity of U.S agents in the leadership of the USSR in the late 1980s. Such an accusation was made by former illegal KGB officer, retired Colonel of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Andrei Bezrukov.

According to RIA Novosti, Bezrukov, who is currently a Professor at the prestigious Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), made this revelation during a speech at the “Digital History” science festival.

One year has passed since the start of the imperialist conflict in Ukraine, which is one of the consequences of the tragic situation that has developed for the peoples after the overthrow of socialism and the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
