Sudan Uprising: The Communist Party calls for internationalist solidarity against conspiracies

The following is a statement issued by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Sudanese Communist Party
- World imperialism, in collaboration with regional reactionary Arab governments and Sudanese army generals, staged a classical palace coup in a vain attempt to abort the victorious people’s march towards uprooting the dictatorial regime.
- The coup leaders who ousted Albashir declared a state of emergency for three months and ordered the masses of protesters to stay at home with the introduction of a curfew from sunset until morning. Millions of protesters have continued their daily mass actions, defying the curfew imposed by the new military junta.

Protests in Sudan - Communist Party cadres have been detained by the authorities!

Yesterday the 25th of December was the day Khartoum became the centre of the mass protest actions. The protest march called by the professional bodies turned into a great mass demonstration which started at 1pm and continued late into the night. The masses were denied reaching their target of presenting their memorandum to Albashir by the heavy presence of armed security forces around the Republican Palace.
The demonstration which started in central Khartoum, soon spread to other residential areas around the capital. The battles between the demonstrators and the security forces moved from the main roads to the streets and lanes of the capital.

Solidarity with the communists and people of Sudan

Source: inter.kke.gr.
The KKE denounces the anti-people measures that the government of Sudan has taken in coordination with the IMF, which even further worsen the position of the working class and the poor popular strata of the country.
It salutes the workers’-people’s mobilizations against the anti-people measures, for the social and democratic rights of the people of Sudan and expresses its solidarity with the CP of Sudan.
We denounce the attempts to repress the people and the CP of Sudan, whose CC’s offices were encircled in the morning today (30/11/2016) by police forces.
The authoritarianism of the government and the repression of the people’s mobilizations will not succeed!
Hands off the communists!
