Message of the KKE to the Communist Party of Cuba for the 58th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

On the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) send to the Communist Party of Cuba (Partido Comunista de Cuba) the following message:

"To the CC of the CP of Cuba.

Athens, Thursday 29 December 2016.

Dear comrades,

The KKE warmly salutes the 58th anniversary of the victory of the Revolution in Cuba.

This year's anniversary is marked by the physical absence of the leader of the revolution comrade Fidel Castro, who marked with his personal offer the turning points of the struggle for the victory, the socialist construction, the achievements that the revolution brought to the people of Cuba and its contribution to the struggle of the oppressed around the world.

The anti-socialist campaign of distortion and the anticommunist attack that various apologists of capitalism launched on the occasion of cde Fidel's death, exposes themselves. The achievements of Cuba- despite of the US blockade and more general of the undeclared war of the imperialists- stand out from the capitalist barbarity that the region's people experience, and which millions of working people are experiencing today even in the developed capitalist counties, clearly demonstrate the superiority of the the socialist road of development.

100 years after the victory of the Great October Socialist Revolution in Russia and 58 years since the 1st socialist revolution in the american continent, the words of Lenin remain timely: "We have made the start. When, at what date and time, and the proletarians of which nation will complete this process is not important. The important thing is that the ice has been broken; the road is open, the way has been shown".

The Central Committee of the KKE."
