Communist Party of Pakistan demands: Keep our country out of the Yemen war!

The Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) has issued a strong warning against the country's involvement in the escalating war in Yemen, demanding that the government reject any military commitments that could drag Pakistan into another devastating regional conflict.

In a statement issued by its Central Secretariat, the CPP expresses serious concern over Pakistan's military obligations to Saudi Arabia, warning that existing defence arrangements and the presence of Pakistani military personnel in the kingdom increase the danger of direct or indirect involvement in the war.

Statement by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) on the recent developments in the Saudi-Yemeni conflict and the AKP Government’s intention to involve Turkey: 

“Saudi Arabia should look in the mirror. Who brought Yemen to this state? Look at the state Yemen is in today. Have tens of thousands of people not died in Yemen? Saudi Arabia, you must first answer for all this”.

"Since last Sunday (3/3), the frigate Hydra has been sailing in the dangerous waters of the Red Sea.

Its participation in the European and Euro-Atlantic naval mission confirms that the bourgeoisie does not hesitate to involve the people in military adventures, even to lead them into war, in order to defend its interests and those of its US-NATO allies.

KKE condemns US-British air strikes in Yemen

In a statement following the U.S- British air strikes against Houthis in Yemen, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) warns about the risks of a generalized war. More specifically, the statement (here in Greek) reads: 

"The KKE condemns the US and British missile attacks on Yemen which multiply the risks of generalizing the war in the region, with the involvement of other powers, such as Iran.
