Cuban President Diaz-Canel slams far-right US Senator Rubio: "We won't yield to threats"

"We will eternally defend our sovereignty and independence,” Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said, giving a powerful response to the despicable threats unleashed by far-right U.S. Florida Senator Marco Rubio.  

Cuba will not yield to “pressure or threats” from the United States, President Miguel Diaz-Canel said Saturday in response to an aggressive tweet taunt Friday by the Republican senator. 

Greek anti-imperialists slam ND government's recognition of Venezuelan coup leader Guaido

Fully aligned with the US and EU imperialist policy, Greece's newly-elected conservative government of New Democracy (ND) has officially recognized US-backed coup plotter Juan Guaido as Venezuela's "interim President". 

This decision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis' government has already been denounced by progressive and anti-imperialist forces as an act that makes Greece an accomplice in the dangerous imperialist US-EU plans in the region. 

"This act supports the dirty intervention of the USA, the EU and their allies in Venezuela and it is directed against the legally elected President of the country and against the Venezuelan people as a whole" points out, among other things, the statement of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). Mexico's Communist Party (PCM) slams Trump-Obrador anti-immigration deal

In a statement the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) slams the recent agreement made by the governments of Donald Trump and López Obrador on immigration issues. 

The Communist Party accusses both the two governments that they actually staged a farce of negotiations - with threats with tariff measures on one hand and a wave of patriotism on the other - thus hiding the real issue which is the imposition of anti-immigration policies by both sides. 

Cuban Foreign Minister slams U.S. aggression: "Bolton and Pompeo lie again and again"

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said today that lies are the basis of the aggressive escalation of the United States against Latin America.

'Bolton and Pompeo lie again and again (...) Accusations vs. #Cuba is a vulgar slander. Blackmail is unacceptable. They look for pretexts to intensify the blockade and hostility against the Island, 'the foreign minister wrote in his account on the social network Twitter.

Earlier, Rodriguez rejected the pronouncements of the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who accused the largest of the Antilles of being 'the true imperialist power in Venezuela.' 

KKE strongly condemns the imperialist-backed coup attempt in Venezuela

On the occasion of the new US-backed coup attempt in Venezuela, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) has issued a statement (read here in Greek):

"The KKE unequivocally condemns the coup attempt in Venezuela for the overthrow of the country's elected president and the imposition of Guaido or any other stooge of the imperialists.

KKE denounces the U.S. imperialist aggression against Cuba and Latin American people

In a statement issued on Thursday 18 April, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns the intensificiation of the U.S. imperialist aggression and threats against Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and the people of Latin America.

Evo Morales, Alexis Tsipras and... "revolutionary realism"

It was truly sad watching Bolivian President Evo Morales becoming part of Alexis Tsipras' propaganda just months before Greek elections. Because that is what Tsipras actually tried during Morales' visit in Athens two days ago.

Cuba denounces the US-organized sabotage of Venezuelan electrical power system

KKE deputy at EU Parliament condemns US-EU imperialist interference in Venezuela

Mexico's Communist Party denounces US-EU aggression in Venezuela, calls for solidarity

In a latest statement, the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) condemns the measures adopted by the Trump administration and the European Union against the people and the sovereignty of Venezuela. 

The PCM states that "the role of Guaidó reminds collaborationist governments, puppets of fascism" and pays attention to the provocation scheduled by the US and Guaidó for February 23rd, when in the name of "humanitarian aid" the imperialist centers of the US and the EU intend to instroduce "destruction and death" against the people of Venezuela and the country's sovereign rights. 

Greece's Communist Youth (KNE) condemns imperialist coup against Venezuela

In a statement, the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) - the youth wing of the KKE- expresses its full solidarity with the people and youth of Venezuela, condemns the imperialist interference in the country and calls for protests on Tuesday 5 February in Athens and Thessaloniki. 

Under the slogan "Solidarity with the people of Venezuela! No submission to imperialism, the people are the only superpower", KNE calls young men and women to condemn the blatant intervention of the USA, the EU and their allied governments in Venezuela. 

KKE MEP Papadakis voices solidarity with Venezuelan people against US-led coup

"Only the people of Venezuela have the responsibility to defend their interests and to elect their country's leadership" said Kostas Papadakis, EU Parliament's member from the Communist Party of Greece, during the discussion about the "situation in Venezuela". 

Papadakis denounced "the crude intervention of the USA, EU, NATO and governments of Latin America in Venezuela's internal affairs and their attempt to impose, through a coup d'etat, a puppet-president". The KKE MEP condemned the threats of the imperialists about a possible military intervention, as well as the stance of european governments.

KKE's Koutsoumbas reaffirms solidarity with Venezuela, demands a clear stance from the Greek government

The General Secretary of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas met earlier today with the charge d'affaires of Venezuela's embassy in Athens Freddy Jesús Fernández Torres at the Party's headquarters.

European Communist Initiative: Solidarity with the people & the CP of Venezuela

Statement of the Secretariat of the Initiative of Communist and Workers' Parties of Europe in solidarity with Venezuelan people and the CP of Venezuela.

The Secretariat of the Initiative condemns the coup d'etat of the USA, their allied governments and of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the overthrow of the elected President Nicolas Maduro and for the support of the leader of the reactionary forces Juan Guaidó, who proclaimed himself president of the country with their support.
