A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by Politburo member Phan Dinh Trac, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in Athens, 902 portal reported today.
Phan Dinh Trac, accompanied by the Ambassador of Vietnam in Greece, Le Hong Truong, was welcomed by the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoumbas and Giorgos Marinos, member of the KKE's Political Bureau.

Secretary Koutsoumbas referred to the long-standing fraternal relations between the two parties, in the KKE's solidarity towards the heroic struggles of the Vietnamese people against imperialism and for the country's independence and progress. The KKE leader informed the visitors about the political developments in Greece and the activities of the KKE, including the positive result achieved by the Party in the recent parliamentary elections.
From his side, Phan Dinh Trac congratulated the KKE for its electoral rise, referred to the relations of the two parties and provided information concerning Vietnam's economic course in recent years.
The two delegations exchanged views on the general developments and underlined the significance of the international collaboration between the KKE and the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as their contribution to the strengthening of the communist and labor movement and the anti-imperialist struggle.
