KKE expresses solidarity with Hadash leader Ayman Odeh who was forcefully removed from Knesset

In a statement issued today, the International Relations Department of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) expresses its solidarity with Ayman Odeh, head of the Parliamentary Group of Hadash (Democratic Front for Peace and Equality), who was violently removed from the podium of the Israeli parliament for denouncing the genocide of the Palestinian people.

The statement reads:

"The KKE condemns the new episode of authoritarianism against Ayman Odeh, head of the Parliamentary Group of Hadash, in which the Israeli Communist Party participates. This time, Ayman Odeh, who has faced violent attacks in the past, was forcibly removed from the Knesset podium because he denounced the genocide of the Palestinian people and the famine caused by the Israeli state-murderer."

The KKE expresses its solidarity with the communists of Israel and other fighters who, under conditions of harsh repression, are fighting alongside the Palestinian people for the right to have their own homeland.

Speaking in the Knesset, Ayman Odeh condemned the crimes happening in Gaza. "After a year and a half of war, you have killed 19,000 children, 53,000 residents, destroyed all the universities and hospitals," he said, while members of the House security entered the chamber, climbed onto the podium, and forcibly removed him.
