Iranian and US Communists condemn bombing of Iran

In a statement issued today, Sunday 22 June 2025, the Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran, condemns the military attack of the United States against the Islamic Republic. The statement reads:

Dear compatriots!

In the first hour of Sunday, the first of Tir 1404 [June 22, 2025], based on published reports, American fighter jets and the naval fleet of this country bombed three nuclear sites in Iran in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, and thus, together with Netanyahu’s criminal regime, officially entered the war against Iran.

Devastating war, struggle against imperialism, and national interests

After weeks of indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic and the Trump administration—which, according to the Wall Street Journal, were aimed at “limiting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program” and were seen by many as a suitable path to maintaining regional peace—these negotiations ultimately “turned into a convenient cover for a surprise Israeli attack.”

Tudeh Party on Ebrahim Raisi: The death of a criminal

Following the news of the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, alongside Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and six other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday, the Tudeh Party of Iran (حزب توده‌ی ایران) issued a statement.

"Ebrahim Raisi was a criminal agent of the Islamic Republic of Iran, an agent who played a key role in the killing of freedom fighters in Iran during the last four decades. 

Tudeh Party of Iran: Threat of war, theocratic regime and “anti-imperialism”

“… to defend the theocratic regime in Iran as a force for anti-imperialism is, at best, naïve - and, at worst, deliberately relegates the brutal repression, crushing poverty, and socioeconomic misery suffered by the absolute majority of the people of Iran as inconsequential or unworthy of consideration…”

Communist and Workers' Parties: Joint Declaration in solidarity with the struggle of the Iranian people

More than 40 Communist and Workers' Parties, participants at the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) in Havana, Cuba in October 2022, co-sign a joint statement in support of the struggle of the people of Iran, calling for peace, justice and progress.
