The Secretarial of the Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran, The Plenum of the Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran (TPI) was convened earlier in March 2026, attended by members of the Central Committee, party cadres, and officers. The session commenced with a minute of silence to honour the memory of all victims of the brutal bombardments by U.S. imperialism and the criminal Netanyahu government, as well as those who lost their lives during the January popular protests and the martyrs of the Tudeh movement.

The war of aggression launched by the Netanyahu criminal government and the United States Imperialism in the early hours of Saturday morning against Iran has ignited a full-scale war and dragged the region and its peoples towards more disasters and civilian casualties – all in the service of imperialist interests, against the interests of peoples, their independence and their right to self-determination in an effort to dominate and control the region and the world.

Communists from Iran, Israel and the United States condemn Trump-Netanyahu war in the Middle East

Communist Parties from Iran, Israel and the United States have issued strong statements condemning the recent military escalation in the Middle East following the joint U.S.–Israeli attack on Iran. 

 

The statements warn that the aggression risks triggering a wider regional conflict and call for international mobilization to stop the war and defend the rights of the peoples of the region. The reactions came after coordinated strikes carried out by the United States and Israel against targets inside Iran, an operation that dramatically heightened tensions across the Middle East and raised fears of a broader confrontation.

 

Tudeh Party of Iran on the death of Ali Khamenei and the right of the Iranian people to decide their future

In a new statement, the Tudeh Party of Iran stresses out: 

"Dear compatriots,

Following the aggressive attacks by Netanyahu’s criminal regime and U.S. imperialism on Iranian soil, Ali Khamenei—the regime’s Supreme Leader and a dictator who over the past thirty-seven years, through destructive policies and the reactionary ideology of “political Islam,” drove the country to the brink of war and destruction—along with a number of his family members and close associates, as well as some commanders of the Revolutionary Guard and repressors of the people, have been killed.

Tudeh Party strongly condemns the aggressive attack by Israel and the USA against Iran

In a statement issued on 28 February 2026, the Tudeh Party of Iran strongly condemned the joint aggressive military attack of US and Israel against Iran: 

"Dear Compatriots!

Early this morning, our country was attacked by extensive missile and air strikes by the racist Israeli government and the United States. This blatant aggression against Iranian territory occurs while the Iranian and US government officials, with the mediation of regional countries, have been engaged in negotiations over the past few weeks to resolve disputes over Iran’s nuclear program.

Tudeh Party firmly rejects "any foreign intervention in the sovereign affairs of the Iranian people"

The following text is an excerpt from a letter sent by the Tudeh Party to the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) on the occasion of the latter’s 22nd Congress.

Iranian Marxism and its main challenges

Two days before Israel launched an attack on Iran, the Tel Aviv branch of the Communist Party of Israel (Maki) hosted a meeting on the topic of Iranian Marxism. This was as part of the series of lectures on Marxism in the Middle East. The meeting, held online, included a lecture by N., an exiled Iranian Marxist, who asked that his name not be published.

The lecture opened with introductory remarks: One of the central characteristics of the Marxist movement as a whole is the ability to learn from failures and see them as setbacks in a long struggle. 

Iranian and US Communists condemn bombing of Iran

In a statement issued today, Sunday 22 June 2025, the Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran, condemns the military attack of the United States against the Islamic Republic. The statement reads:

Dear compatriots!

In the first hour of Sunday, the first of Tir 1404 [June 22, 2025], based on published reports, American fighter jets and the naval fleet of this country bombed three nuclear sites in Iran in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, and thus, together with Netanyahu’s criminal regime, officially entered the war against Iran.

Tudeh Party of Iran: Message of condolences for the victims of the explosion in Bandar Abbas

Message of Condolences of the Tudeh Party of Iran to the Families of the Bereaved and Victims of the Explosion at Rajaee Quay in Bandar Abbas:

Based on reports from domestic and foreign media, around noon on Saturday, 26 April 2025, a fire broke out at Rajaee Quay, located 23 kilometres west of Bandar Abbas. The blaze initially started in a limited number of containers. It quickly spread to other containers within the area under the supervision of “Sina Gostaresh Company”, leading to powerful explosions. The resulting sound waves and air pressure were audible and felt within a 50-kilometer radius.

"The presidential election show, which the ruling regime of Iran was eagerly hoping to turn into a grand endorsement of the theocratic regime, ended with the majority of the nation boycotting it. Even according to the official statistics, in several major cities, including the capital Tehran, voter turnout barely exceeded 30%. According to ISNA, the head of the election office in Tehran province said: "The number of eligible voters for the fourteenth presidential election was 10,199,742, and in this election, on June 25^th, 3,366,264 ballots were used in the capital."

With the death of Ebrahim Raisi, the criminal servant of the ruling dictatorship, the "homogeneous regime" project favoured by ["Supreme Leader"] Khamenei has suffered another blow. This project, centred around Raisi's administration, had already overseen major failures in both domestic and foreign policy over the past three years.

Following the news of the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, alongside Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and six other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday, the Tudeh Party of Iran (حزب توده‌ی ایران) issued a statement.

In a statement concerning the the forthcoming "elections" of the Islamic Parliament and the Assembly of the Experts, the CC of the Tudeh Party of Iran stresses out:

"Dear conscious compatriots, workers, and toilers!

Progressive and freedom-loving forces of Iran!

The twelfth "election" of the Islamic Parliament and the sixth "election" of the Assembly of Experts will take place on 1 March.  According to a report by the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, more than 11,000 individuals (52% of registered applicants) were approved by the vetting process [to stand as candidates] and the results [of the vetting] were sent to them via text message by the "National Elections Headquarters" on 5 January.
