The 2024 U.S. election has shocked many around the world with Donald Trump’s landslide victory. But his return should not be considered as an American phenomenon. In recent years the right-wing populist parties around the world have successfully garnered support from the political left working class by advocating for robust welfare states, albeit through a lens that is often chauvinist, nativist, and ethnonationalist.

Speaking at the Knesset Science and Technology Committee on Tuesday, December 10, the Hadash-Ta’al chair stated that, while Hamas’s attack on innocent civilians on October 7, 2023, constituted a “very deep moral injury,” expressing his opposition to “harming innocent people.” He also believed that every nation “has a right to struggle against its occupants.” “This is true in every place in the world, and this is the right of the Palestinian people,” said.

The intervention in Syria and the domination of the jihadists is another link in the chain of the dangerous developments for the peoples that the imperialist powers of the USA, the EU, NATO, Turkey and Israel are carrying out in the wider Middle East region. It is a continuation of the ongoing massacre of the Palestinian people, the attacks on the Lebanese people and the targeting of Iran.

Little more than thirty years have passed since the counterrevolutionary overthrow of workers’ power in the USSR. This historic tragedy confirmed the warning of J.V. The beginning of the war in Ukraine should perhaps be taken as 2014, but in this article [1] we will focus on the period starting with the Russian intervention into Ukrainian territory in February 2022. The war in Ukraine did not take place between two nation states, Ukraine was put forward as a proxy of NATO, in other words of imperialist Euro-Atlantic bloc, so the war took place between NATO and Russia. But more generally, Ukraine was a front in the war of imperialist division, which is a product of the imperialist rivalry that has now taken over the world, a war that has not yet become total.
