Dutch communists: "The Netherlands should not be a transit port for the US military"

The New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) and the Communist Youth Movement (CJB) condemn the dangerous decisions of the Dutch government to make the port of Vlissingen and Dutch territory available as a transit port for a huge transport of heavy military equipment of the US army.

At Vlissingen port, 1,275 US tanks, armoured vehicles and other military equipment are currently being unloaded and transported across Dutch territory to Poland and Lithuania. They are destined for a US land force unit, which will be stationed there to further increase pressure on Russia.

On the 14th of November 1992, the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) was founded. Last Sunday, we celebrated our party's 30th anniversary in a packed hall. In large numbers, comrades from all over the country came together for a day full of comradeship, solidarity and great moments. Comrades held various contributions and played music.

The Cuban embassy delivered a greeting, as did comrades from sister parties: the Communist party of Belgium, the German Communist Party, the Communist Party of Greece, the Communist Party of Luxembourg and the Communist Party of Turkey.

Dutch communists on child benefits scandal: A consequence of the fact that capitalism cannot cover the basic needs of people

The Dutch government has resigned amid an escalating scandal over child benefits in which more than 20,000 families were wrongly accused of fraud by the tax authority. The move came less than a month before parliament was due to break up ahead of general elections scheduled for 17 March.

In a statement concerning the issue, the New Communist Party of the Netherlands and the Communist Youth Movement (CJB), point out:

"Yesterday (Friday 15th of January) Prime Minister Rutte handed over the resignation of the government to the king – only two months before the elections for the House of Representatives will take place. The fall of the cabinet was triggered by the so-called “allowances affair” (toeslagenaffaire), although we can better speak of a terrible scandal.

New Communist Party of the Netherlands: The consequences of the pandemic for the people and government's response

In a declaration the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) and its youth wing, the Communist Youth Movement (CJB), refer to the rapid increase of Covid-19 cases in the country, the consequences of the new economic crisis and the response of the Dutch government which takes measures in order to safeguard the capital's interests.

The declaration reads:

The number of hospital admissions and deaths caused by the coronavirus is rising rapidly. Meanwhile, increasingly more people are feeling the consequences of the new economic crisis. Among workers, students, and pupils, there is a lot of uncertainty about the second wave and the economic crisis, as well as what this will mean for their job or education. The government, however, refuses to offer solutions and leaves everything to ‘individual responsibility’. Only big capital can count on the government for generous support.

KKE on Dutch Elections: "The peoples of Europe can escape from the vise of phony dilemmas"

On the occasion of the Dutch elections' results, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued the following statement:

"The so-called "eurosceptic" parties do not consist a solution to the antipeople policy which is getting stronger throughout the EU by all governments and which of course will be continued by the new government of the Netherlands. They are parties which express the interests of parts of the capital, of centers of the establishment, which are benefiting from the centrifugal tendencies in the EU and the eurozone and are seeking another version of capitalist exploitation.

Joint Statement by NCPN and TKP: To the working people of Netherlands and Turkey

Joint Statement by the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) and the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP).

To the working people of Netherlands and Turkey.
A crisis is being practiced between the two countries reflecting the rude nature of the bourgeoisie politicians, so severe that we have not observed for many years. Now, they provoke and play with nationalistic emotions among the people and they try to benefit politically out of this tension being escalated.
However, we know that the politicians who are the heroes of this crisis resulting in the crisis reaching scandal dimension have been attacking their own working people and that they have put their signatures under policies extorting the rights of the proletariat. Both parts represent the bourgeoisie class and exploitative monopolies.

Turkey's Communist Party (TKP) unleashes new attack against Tayyip Erdogan

Photo credit: In Defense of Communism.
With a statement the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) bashes the AKP government of Tayip Erdogan.
How much more will you humiliate this country? Get out of here!
Everyone is aware of the tensions between the AKP and several European countries.
This international scandal is nothing but vileness done by a fundamentalist gang which considers its own interests, future, and destiny over the country’s destiny.
