Poland's right-wing government honors WW2 Nazi collaborators

Polish officials and members of far-right groups attended the
event in Warsaw.
It has become a tradition for the bourgeois governments in the Baltic countries and Poland to pay tribute to various militant groups which collaborated with the Nazis in the Second World War.

This time, it was the turn for the right-wing government of the ruling "Law and Justice" party in Poland to honor the veterans of the so-called "Holy Cross Mountains Brigade", an underground force that collaborated with Nazi German forces against the communists towards the end of the war.

Myths and reality about HBO's Chernobyl series

The series refer to the explosion that took place on April 26, 1986 in nuclear reactor no 4 of the Chernobyl power plant close to the city of Priyat in northern Ukraine. Although this highly-acclaimed US-British production manages to kindle the viewer's interest by gaining an unexpected impact, it is neither unique nor original. It consists a more "clever" and better elaborated effort to combat the communist ideology through anti-sovietism.

Stop anti-communist persecution in Poland - Statement by the Communist Party (KPP)

Anti-communist persecution in Poland intensifies as the state authorities attempt to criminalize the communist activity by changes of the penal code. This is an element of the anti-communist campaign aimed at banning the Communist Party of Poland
The legal changes are also a part of the persecution such as a trial of the members of the CPP and the „Brzask" editorial board, lasting for about 3,5 years, despite the fact that the court on January declared them as innocent. At the same time the Polish authorities raise other obstacles to the communist activity as well as falsifying the history and destroying anything connected with communism and the Peoples' Poland.

Despicable: Tsipras signs EU Council's vulgar anti-communist declaration in Romania

A shameful delcaration was signed yesterday, Thursday 9 May, by the EU leaders at Sibiu, Romania, during an unofficial summit. All together, "liberals" and "social democrats", "conservatives" and "progressives", confirmed the rottenness of the so-called "founding values" of the EU. The declaration of Sibiu, signed on 9 May (on the anniversary of the Great Anti-Fascist Victory), is another memorial of hideous anti-communism

SHAME! Polish authorities destroy memorial dedicated to communist hero Nikos Beloyannis

In another episode of anti-communist barbarity, the authorities of Poland removed and destroyed a memorial dedicated to the heroic Greek communist Nikos Beloyannis in the city of Wroclaw.

The memorial, which had been erected by Greek political refugees next to the 20th Elementary School at 143 Stabłowicka street, was removed and destroyed according to the  2016 anti-communist law which prohibits "the promotion of communism or other totalitarian regimes".

It must be reminded that, a few months ago, Polish authorities had removed the plaque of a memorial dedicated to the legendary Democratic Army of Greece (1946-1949) in Dziwnów.

Poland: Communist Party cadres, "Brzask" editors, acquitted by the court

On January 18th, the the District Court in Dąbrowa Górnicza acquitted members of the editorial office of the Communist Party of Poland's "Brzask" newspaper and the party website from the accusation of "promoting the totalitarian state system".

After a thorough analysis of the case, the court decided that the allegations formulated by the prosecutor's office do not indicate a crime.

According to the verdict, one can not rule on propagating totalitarianism on the basis of sentences taken out of the context and fragments of articles. In the justification of the verdict, the court also stated that it was necessary to distinguish propagating a totalitarian state system from propagating communist views.

Cornelius Castoriadis — The philosopher who preached socialism but sided with barbarity

Cornelius Castoriades (1922-1997)
By Nikos Mottas.

The 26th of December marks the death anniversary of philosopher, economist and psychoanalyst Cornelius Castoriadis. Born in Istanbul in 1922, the writings of Castoriades remain today a reference point for the political spectrum of the so-called “libertarian socialism” and the self-identified as “autonomy movements”. Indeed, being a prolific writter in a vast range of political philosophy issues, Castoriadis was established, especially during the period between 1960 and 1980, as one of the most significant representatives of the radical French and European intelligentsia.

Erdogan and Gülen, former accomplices in CIA anti-communist campaign in Turkey

Fethullah Gülen, the islamic preacher and businessman who resides in Pennsylvania, is today regarded as the number one enemy of Tayyip Erdogan's AKP government which has repeatedly asked for his extradition to Turkey.

However, it is known that Erdogan and Gülen were once close allies. What is less known is that both men had participated, in one or another way, in the CIA-designed anti-communist campaign in Turkey during the Cold War years.

Resolution by the European Communist Initiative regarding the anti-communist persecutions in Poland:

On December 7th 2018 the 3-year anti-communist trial against members and cadres of the CP of Poland will resume.

Anticommunist persecutions in Poland bear the stamp of the European Union

In a revealing response to the Communist Party of Greece MEP Kostas Papadakis, the EU Commission actually confirmed that the anticommunist campaign in Poland (and in other EU member-states too) bears the stamp of the Union.

Responding to a written question submitted by K. Papadakis the EU Commissioner on Justice Věra Jourová defiantly and hypocritically tried to justify the anticommunist strategy of the Polish government.
