"The new agreement of the SYRIZA-ANEL government with the Quartet, which typically and in fact consists a new memorandum, with new harsh measures against employees, pensioners, self-employed people, confirms once more that the government does the "dirty job" on behalf of the capital.
The new agreement consists a new attack on the people's income, new large cuts in pensions and benefits, new structural measures for the benefit of the monopolies, such as the substantial abolition of the Sunday holiday and the expansion of privatizations.
It is a provocation that the government projects the new measures as a "discharge" from the memorandums and the crisis, while in fact they consist a "death certificate" for the working-popular rights. Even if there is, some time, an exit from the EU and IMF "programs", the hundreds of antiworker-antipeople laws that the current and the previous governments voted for will be in power.
The agreement also confirms the "grotesque" issue of "counter-measures". The so-called "counter-measures" not only do not counterbalance the new big loses for the popular strata and the aggravation of "extreme poverty", but to a large extend they are supporting measures for the capital, like for example the decrease of business group's taxation.
The KKE calls the people to decisively repel the new attack, to organise their struggle against these measures without end. To turn their backs to the mockery of the SYRIZA-ANEL government, to the rest parties which support the same strategy. The Workers' May Day mass and militant rallies, in which the forces of KKE and PAME had a leading role, consisted a first response to the arguments about "peoples tolerance" to the governmental policy and sent an optimistic message for the best preparation of the nationwide strike".
