Communist Party of Greece: Strongly condemns EU's sanctions against Venezuela

The Press Office of the Central Committee of the KKE issued a statement on the sanctions adopted by the European Union against Venezuela. The statement is as follows:

"The KKE denounces the unacceptable decision of the EU Foreign Ministers to impose economic sanctions on Venezuela. This decision is directed against the people of Venezuela and demonstrates once again the antipopular-reactionary character of the European Union, as well as the tactic of interfering in the internal affairs of other states, which has often taken a form of intervention, even with military means.

KKE: Tsipras government's "social dividend" consists crude and shameless propaganda

In an effort to disorient public opinion from the agenda of the upcoming new antipeople measures, Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras made an unscheduled television appearance on Monday night to announce a €1.4bn “social dividend” to be paid next month to more than 3m Greeks who have been hit hardest by the country’s seven-year recession and the antiworkers-antipeople policies implemented by the governments of ND, PASOK and SYRIZA. The handout would include €720m in one-off payments for low-income Greeks and €315m in rebates for earlier cuts in healthcare payments, Premier Tsipras said. 

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) issued a statement denouncing the Prime Minister's announcements as "crude and shameless propaganda". More specifically, the statement of the Press Office of the CC of the KKE writes:

È la tua rivoluzione: Italian communists honored the October Revolution in Rome

The Communist Party of Italy (PC) and Front of Communist Youth (FGC) organized a massive meeting and march on Colosseum Square of Rome. Dedicated to the centenary of the October Revolution, the event promoted communism as the only real alternative against capitalist barbarity. With the participation of thousands of people, city of Rome was decorated with red flags.

Around 5 thousand workers and students got together on Colosseum Square of Rome with their red flags for honouring the centenary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, in respect to the call from the Communist Party and Front of Communist Youth against the anti-popular policies of the EU, NATO and the Italian government. Before the event, thousands of people marhced on the streets of Rome with their chants and slogans.

Capitalism Doomed: Most young people in the USA prefer Socialism or Communism over Capitalism

According to a poll, carried out by the international polling firm YouGov between September-October 2017, 51% of the Americans between the ages of 21 and 29, defined in the report as "millennials", would prefer to live in a socialist or communist country over a capitalist one. 

The majority of young people- 56%- also said that they wouldn't be offended if someone accused them of being a communist. A similar percentage (53%) of the same age group reported that they feel that the US economic system is working against them.

From Warsaw with hate: Fascist and neo-Nazi groups marched in the streets of Poland's capital

Poland is the country where Communists are being persecuted for their activity and ideology by the bourgeois state's mechanisms, the Communist Party faces every kind of repression by the government (which demolishes Soviet monuments) and where fascists, racists and neo-Nazis march in the streets, spreading their poison of hate! This is capitalism and EU's Poland.

According to news agencies, an estimated ten thousand far-right nationalists marched in Poland’s capital city of Warsaw on Saturday, dwarfing the official celebrations and casting a pall on the country's Independence Day commemoration.

Shameful verdict by Greek court convicts Communist Youth members who were assaulted by neo-Nazis!

A shameful verdict was issued by the single-member Magistrate Court of Thessaloniki in northern Greece regarding a murderous assault of neo-Nazi Golden Dawn thugs against Communist Youth (KNE) members  of November 2012. 

According to the Court's verdict, the perpetrators of the attack were sentenced to 21 months imprisonment. However, the same verdict convicts the... victims of the attack to 12 months imprisonment!

Dimitris Arvanitakis: The Great October Socialist Revolution is a huge contribution to the people all over the World. There are many gains and  a massive experience left for the contemporary struggle of the working class movement and for the Communist Parties internationally. 

Demonstration of PAME in Athens: Workers send message of resistance to Tsipras' government

With a large demonstration in central Athens, thousands of working class people send a message of resistance and counterattack against the new measures prepared by the SYRIZA-ANEL government, the quartet and the capital. 

The demonstrators, who corresponded to the initiative of the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME), gathered at Syntagma Square thus sending an organised and militant message to the antipeople triangle of government-EU-employers. 

Greece's government sold ammunition to Saudi Arabia - The KKE denounces the agreement

Another shameful agreement by the- supposedly- "left" government of SYRIZA. This time, the Greek Ministry of Defense agreed to sell ammunition to Saudi Arabia, a country with a very dark role in the promotion and implementation of imperialist plans in the broader region of the Middle East. 

The agreement between Greece and Saudi Arabia was denounced by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), the Press Office of which issued the following statement:

Russia: Thousands of people celebrated the October Revolution's centennial despite Kremlin's deliberate silence

With numerous events, rallies and parades, thousands of people of every age celebrated the 100 years since the Great October Socialist Revolution in Russia and other countries of the former USSR. The celebrations took place despite the deliberate effort from the side of the Russian government to "distract" public opinion from the great anniversary. 

Large rallies, organised by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and the Russian Communist Workers Party (RCWP), took place in Moscow, Leningrad (St.Petersburg), Novosibirsk, Omsk and other smaller cities.
