In a statement concerning the despicable comment of the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' concerning the U.S attack in Venezuela, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), stresses out the following:
This is a statement that legitimizes military attacks and imperialist interventions, such as the one the Cypriot people have been experiencing for years as a result of the Turkish invasion and occupation.
According to the logic of Mitsotakis — a logic that also permeates the official interventions of the EU and its member states — an imperialist power may organize coups and overthrow governments according to its own interests. And all this at a time when Trump is announcing similar interventions in other countries of Latin America.
Shame and disgrace. The Greek people, through their solidarity and action, must condemn this dangerous stance of the government.
The peoples have the power to impose their justice. The people of Venezuela will win."
