Interview with the Workers' Front of Ukraine: Fascism, the Imperialist War and the perspective of Socialism

The Workers' Front of Ukraine-RFU (Робітничий Фронт України), is a clandestine Marxist-Leninist group founded in 2019. Below you can read the english version of an interview they gave to Karl Gunnarsson, International Secretary of the Communist Party of Sweden-SKP, which was published in SKP's official gazette "Riktpunkt"

The interview provides interesting information about what Ukrainian communists think about the ongoing imperialist war and the suffering their country has been subjected to, but also  a background to the war and explains what was behind the so-called the Euromaidan revolution.

KKE on French elections: Only the workers-popular movement can stop the rise of the far-right

Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally (RN) party led the first round of France’s parliamentary elections on Sunday, taking it closer to the gates of power than ever before.

After an unusually high turnout, the RN bloc clinched 33.15% of the vote, while the left-wing New Popular Front (NFP) coalition came second with 27.99% and President Emmanuel Macron’s Ensemble alliance slumped to a dismal third with 20.76%, according to final results published by the Interior Ministry on Monday.

Fascism: What's in a word?

 By Greg Godels

The word “fascism” is a lightning rod. No one wants to be called a fascist.  Everyone is ready to call someone else a fascist. Like many highly charged words, the more common its usage becomes, the more inexact its meaning becomes.

Today, Trump is a fascist, Putin is a fascist, Modi is a fascist, Radical Islam is Islamofascism, the House and Senate members who passed the FISA renewal are fascists, Ukraine is a fascist country, political correctness is fascism, anti-Zionists are fascists, Zionists are fascists, and so on….

“Historical conclusions from the tactics of the anti-fascist fronts. The contemporary struggle of communists against fascism”

Dear comrades,

In the past few months, the European bourgeois media have been stirring up a debate, estimating that the electoral performance of nationalist and even fascist forces will skyrocket in the upcoming elections.

KKE MEPs denounce European Parliament's shameful equation of communism with fascism

The MEPs of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) denounce the new anti-communist vileness of the European Parliament with the distribution of a pre-election advertisement for participation in the European elections of June 9, noting:

"In the short film, the EU propaganda mechanisms have managed to create an unhistorical mess by putting together in the same bag statements of people who lived through the Nazi atrocity with so-called 'testimonies' from the countries of socialism, reproducing the unhistorical equation of the fascist monster with communism. Indeed, this time the EU has even managed to outdo itself, since the spot is a monument to anti-communism with a touch of anti-fascism thrown in for good measure.

Ukraine's Zelensky regime continues the despicable policy of dismantling Soviet-era monuments

Another Soviet-era monument, which glorifies the friendship between Ukrainian and Russian people, is being dismantled on orders of the Kyiv city government in the latest stage of derussification (actually decommunization) promoted by the reactionary Zelensky government.

Kyiv’s Department of Territorial Control announced the beginning of the removal of the Pereyaslav Rada monument on 30 April, stressing its massive size: “The sculptural composition is large, consists of about 20 elements weighing between 6,000kg and 7,000kg each. Due to the complexity of the design, dismantling may take a few days.”

Turkish communists cowardly attacked by fascists in Ankara University — Messages of solidarity

On November 21, students-members of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and the Communist Youth (TKG) became targets of a cowardly attack by fascists, presumably members of "Grey Wolves" far-right group, outside the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University's Cebeci campus. Two Communist Party members were slightly injured.

There was a similar attack attempt by fascists at the same faculty a few days earlier, but it was repelled by TKP members.

Canada has welcomed fascists, collaborators and war criminals since 1946

In a statement concerning Canadian Parliament's standing ovation for Waffen SS war criminal Yaroslav Hunka, the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Canada, stresses out:

"While Parliament seeks to wash its hands of the spectacle of its two standing ovations for a Nazi collaborator whose Waffen SS Division murdered hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Poles from 1943 to 1945, the truth is that thousands of fascist troops were brought to live in Canada, the US, and the UK as part of the Cold War. In Canada, welcoming Nazis, war criminals, and collaborators was Canadian government policy.

Finland's far-right governing coalition to criminalize communist symbols?

Finland's ultra-conservative government has decided to implement a policy that would “combat racism”, following multiple racism and neo-Nazi scandals that have rocked the administration in its early months.

The governing coalition’s parties agreed on the content of a statement submitted to Finnish parliament that calls for “non-discrimination in Finnish society,” according to a press release, and for new legislation to work toward that goal.

Crimes of Francoism, a history of bloody impunity

By Álvaro Luque.

We have all heard stories of Francoism that continue to shrink our hearts. You left the house, they arrested you and little by little, humiliation by humiliation, they stripped you of all human dignity where you became a simple punching bag. You became a rag doll where the Brigada Político-Social in the 70s, and the Civil Guard and the Army in the post-war period, were practicing all kinds of humiliations and tortures to extract any confession.

KKE: The storming of Brazil's Congress by far-right groups shows the deep decay of capitalist societies

In a statement concerning the storming of government buildings by followers of Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil's capital, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) points out (here in Greek):

“The methodical invasion of government buildings by far-right supporters of former Brazilian President Bolsonaro and their calls for a coup are directed against the interests of the Brazilian people who are solely responsible for determining the social and political developments in their country.

Brazilian Communist Party: Mass struggle against coup d'état! Fascists will not pass!

The following statement was issued by the
National Political Commission of the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB):

On the afternoon of that Sunday, January 8, supporters of Jair Bolsonaro invaded the National Congress and tried to occupy buildings of other public bodies, with the intention of promoting disturbances and giving rise to a coup d'état.

This movement has been articulated for months by sectors of the Brazilian ultra-right, which has strong financial support from businessmen and segments of the military police and the Armed Forces. In different media, extreme right groups have openly guided demonstrations of non-recognition of election results and attacks on democracy.

Greek communists-targets of the Ukrainian death list "Myrotvorets"

Joint statement by Giorgos Lambroulis, Member and Vice President of the Greek Parliament, Sotiris Zarianopoulos, former Member of the European Parliament, and Giorgos Maganas, cadre of the KKE, on the Press Project website:

"The inclusion of our names in the Ukrainian blacklist with the misleading title “Peacemaker” proves the fact that the Ukrainian bourgeois state chose to overtly target us, as well as our Party, the KKE, which accepted an invitation in November 2014 to visit the Donbas region to express our solidarity with the people of the region and Ukraine as a whole.

Is Twitter manipulated by Ukrainian Fascism?

Twitter did it again! Without any prior notification and without any concrete explanation, the social media platform proceeded to the “temporary locking” of “In Defense of Communism” twitter account. The pretext behind this politically-motivated act was that a tweet with a reference to the Holodomor – the notorious anti-communist myth of the Ukrainian famine – was “violating the Twitter Rules”.

The tweet was a photo bearing the message “Holodomor is a lie made up by fascists”. Apparently, numerous Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian fascists, neo-Nazis and anti-communists reported the tweet as “offensive” thus leading to the temporary locking of the account.

KKE: On the shameful effort for the recognition of the myth of "Holodomor" by EU Parliament

In a statement (here in Greek) issued on December 5, the EU Parliament Group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) denounces the collection of signatures by well-known far-right, anti-communist MEPs regarding the 1932-33 famine in Ukraine. With unhistorical and unfounded claims recently adopted by the German Parliament, they invoke the alleged “deliberate extermination of the Ukrainian people by the Soviet Union, the Bolsheviks and Stalin”.

Serbia: Death threats against the Communist Party - "We will slaughter you"

Back in October, the headquarters of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) in Belgrade had become the target of vandalism. "The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia informs you that Neo-Nazis organized a new attack on our Headquarters in Belgrade. They demolished our windows and wrote anti-communist and Neo-nazi slogans", a party statement was stressing out.

Recently, the Party's premises were once again targeted by fascist groups. According to a statement issued the NKPJ and the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia (SKOJ) fascists vandalized the offices by breaking windows and writing graffiti slogans with death threats.
