Spyros Chalvatzis, a veteran cadre of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and a prominent figure of the communist and popular movement, has passed away, 902 portal reports. Chalvatzis devoted decades of his life to the organized struggle through the ranks of the KKE, assuming important responsibilities in the Party. He served as a member of the Political Bureau of the KKE Central Committee and was also elected to the Greek Parliament, where he served as the Party’s parliamentary representative.
