KKE condemns the persecution of members of the Russian Communist Party (Internationalists)

In a statement published today, Thursday 13 November, the International Relations Section of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns police brutality against members of the Russian Communist Party (Internationalists), which emerged from a split in the RCWP. 

In its appeal on the occasion of the Great October Socialist Revolution, the party emphasized, among other things: 

"The ruling elite of modern Russia has dragged the country into a bloody adventure. Trillions of rubles of public property are being consumed in the flames of conflict. A small group of those in power and property are enriching themselves, while men from impoverished provincial Russia are being hired under contract to die and kill for the interests of the oligarchic bourgeoisie."

The statement of the International Department of the Central Committee of the KKE, titled "Hands Off the Communists of Russia", reads as follows:

"The KKE condemns the detention of 10 members of the Russian Communist Party (Internationalists) on November 7, the day of the Great October Socialist Revolution, by Novosibirsk police officers as they attempted to lay flowers at the monument to fallen communist revolutionaries." Previously, the authorities denied this party permission to hold a picket under various pretexts.

We express solidarity with the persecuted communists of Russia and demand an end to police brutality and their persecution.

Hands off the communists of Russia!"

Руки прочь от коммунистов России! 

Международный отдел ЦК КПГ в своем заявлении осуждает полицейский произвол в отношении членов Российской коммунистической партии (интернационалистов), возникшей в результате раскола в РКРП, которая в своем воззвании по случаю Великой Октябрьской  социалистической революции среди прочего подчеркивает:«Правящая верхушка современной России втянула страну в кровавую авантюру. В огне конфликта сгорают триллионы рублей общенародного достояния. Происходит обогащение узкой группы власть и собственность имущих, а мужчины нищей провинциальной России нанимаются по контракту умирать и убивать за интересы олигархической буржуазии».

В заявлении Международного отдела ЦК КПГ говорится следующее:

«КПГ осуждает задержание 10 членов Российской коммунистической партии (интернационалистов) 7 ноября, в день Великой Октябрьской социалистической революции, сотрудниками полиции города Новосибирска, когда они пытались возложить цветы к памятнику павшим коммунистам-революционерам. Ранее власти под разными предлогами отказывали этой партии в проведении пикета.

Мы выражаем солидарность с преследуемыми коммунистами России и требуем прекращения полицейского произвола и их преследования.
