Yesterday's disgraceful and utterly disgusting images in the Greek Parliament, with the presence of Nazi Azov battalion soldiers during Volodymir Zelensky's teleconference, consist a complete vindication of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) which refused to participate.
Zelensky's address included the recorded messages of two members of the Nazi Azov battalion who fight against the Russians in Ukraine.
In a comment published on Twitter, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE stressed out:
“Even the shame was ashamed today in the Parliament and Zelensky speech, with the NATO-arc parties applauding the Nazis of the Azov Battalion because that is what NATO instructions and commitments require. Absolute justification for the attitude of the KKE!”.
It must be noted that the Parliament's special sitting for Zelensky's speech was attended by the MPs of New Democracy (ND), SYRIZA, Pasok-Kinal and a representative of MERA25. The KKE was absent from the event.
With a letter addressed to the President of the Greek Parliament on 31/3/2022 (read here) the Parliamentary Group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) officially announced that the Party's MPs would not attend Volodymir Zelensky's address to the body, citing a number of reasons.
