In modern Iranian history, anti-communism has never been an accident or a mere ideological reflex. It has been a permanent weapon of bourgeois state power. Across regimes that appeared to stand at opposite ideological poles — the pro-Western, secular monarchy of the Pahlavi dynasty and the theocratic order established after 1979 — the repression of communists and revolutionary leftists formed a stable axis of continuity. The language of power changed; its class function did not.
We, the undersigned Communist and Workers' Parties which have supported the struggle of Iranian people for peace, sovereignty, human and democratic rights, social justice, and against threats of imperialist attack are watching with grave concern the current developments in the country.
Question: How do you assess the deeper socioeconomic forces that have driven people into the streets, and why do you disagree with the Iranian Government’s position that this is a foreign plot?

The war triggered by Israel’s attacks on Iran and intensified by Iran’s retaliation lasted for 12 days. Although short-lived, this war marked a significant turning point in world politics. It is essential to analyze this conflict from various angles, including what it means for the relationship between Turkey and Iran.
Turkey and Iran are two of the most powerful countries in the Middle East. A look at history reveals that the relationship between these two countries has experienced many ups and downs.

Following the unilateral and undeclared military attack unleashed against Iran on Friday 13 June 2025 by the criminal Netanyahu government, we witnessed on Sunday 22 June the military aggression of US imperialism against Iran, bombing the nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The main military activity and focus of Israel and the world shifted from Gaza to Iran on June 12. Gaza has gone from being a primary theater to a secondary one.
While Israel continues to destroy and kill in Gaza systematically, Israelis are even less interested in it. The war in Iran shifted global and domestic priorities, but the destruction of Gaza, the genocide unfolding there, and the bleeding Palestinian issue remain the heart of the darkness.
Devastating war, struggle against imperialism, and national interests
After weeks of indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic and the Trump administration—which, according to the Wall Street Journal, were aimed at “limiting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program” and were seen by many as a suitable path to maintaining regional peace—these negotiations ultimately “turned into a convenient cover for a surprise Israeli attack.”
The Tudeh Party of Iran and the Communist Party of Israel strongly condemn the continuous Israeli aggression in the region, and its latest attack on Iran which is in direct violation of international law. We demand an immediate halt to all military action resulting in significant civilian casualties on both sides.
