Miguel Díaz-Canel: "We will be like Che, today, tomorrow and forever. Until the victory forever"

The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today evoked the example of Argentine-Cuban communist revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara after the 52nd anniversary of his fall in combat.

In his Twitter account, the Cuban President wrote: "We will be like Che, today, tomorrow and forever. Until the victory forever. We are Cuba. We are continuity."

The universal imprint of the legendary guerrilla has special significance here, where he developed his capacity as a strategist in the guerrilla struggle and command qualities, and quickly became one of the most prominent fighters who, led by Fidel Castro, led to the victory of the rebel troops in January 1959. 

In the revolutionary government he developed important responsibilities. His practice of internationalism, moral integrity and qualities, make his life and work remain a symbol and constitute a source of motivation and teaching, Cuban media today stand out.

This October 8, the date of his fall in combat in La Higuera, Bolivia (1967), in all of Cuba acts of homage and remembrance are made to the one described here as Heroic Guerrilla.

In the Cuban capital, the national act of entry to the José Martí Pioneer Organization will be held, in the Plaza de las Palomas of San Francisco de Asís, in Old Havana, in tribute to Che Guevara, while in work and study centers The country is remembered as an example to be followed by new generations.
