KKE and PAME condemn terrorist attacks, express solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka

On the occasion of the murderous terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) express their solidarity with the country's people.

In a statement to the Communist Party of Sri Lanka and the People's Liberation Front (JVP), the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE points out:

"Dear comrades,

The KKE condemns with indignation the murderous attacks that took place in your country in churches and hotels, which resulted in the death of 290 people and the injuries of 500 more.

Many questions arise as to the real goals of this criminal attack which claimed so many lives, even more nowadays that we know very well from the developments in many areas that various armed criminal groups are being used by system forces in the context of imperialist plans and competitions.

In any case, the authorities must identify and punish the perpetrators of this crime.

The KKE expresses its condolences to the families of the victims."

"PAME condemns the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka and expresses its condolences to the Trade Unions and workers of Sri Lanka for the victims of the bombings of previous days.

The experience of workers around the world shows that such murderous acts are being exploited by mechanisms and states to promote policies and projects of imperialists and governments against peoples and workers.

Workers of the world united regardless of race, religion, color, gender, nationality stand together against the common enemy, exploitation and imperialism.

PAME stands next to the people of Sri Lanka and expresses its solidarity."
